Title: Asparagus Bacon Horse's Doovers
Post by: Lord Undies on February 12, 2008, 06:59:37 PM
Butter a baking sheet.

Cut flour tortillas into strips wider than bacon strips.

Lay bacon strips on top of tortilla strips.

Put in 400 degree oven for about ten minutes, the take out and drain on towel.  Drain baking sheet.  Return strips to sheet.

Wash and dry asparagus spears.

Salt and fresh crack pepper the asparagus.

Lightly toss asparagus in drizzle of olive oil.

Lay asparagus on top of bacon strips.

Return to oven for about ten minutes.

Meanwhile, combine sour cream, capers, a dash of salt, cracked pepper, and a splash of lemon juice in bowl.

Take strips out of oven and cool.

Top with sour cream mixture.

Garnish with chives, or something else green - like your guest's envy!

Where's the freaking horse?

If it helps, you'll have to "shoe" your guests away until the Horse's Doovers are ready.
