Militant vegans made death threats to a farmer after he offered shoppers the chance to choose, name, feed and look after their Christmas turkey for two months before it is slaughtered.
Matt Carter, 35, of Greendale Farm Shop posted the offer on Facebook – and hoped it might simply attract a few extra orders and likes from local customers.
The farm post read: “Come and pick your own Christmas turkey at the farm shop.

Yeah. I wonder how they'd feel about the first turkey I shot. I know it scared the hell out of the people who were in the frozen foods section at the time.

Vegans are crazy and terrorists.
Gordon Ramsey did that with both Turkeys and a lamb. His kids named them and raised and cared for them, then ate them. He was making a crucial point -- that food is something to respect and that it doesn't arrive at the store magically.
I think everyone should do that. If it makes people not want to eat meat, that is fine -- just don't try to force others to do the same like these vegan cucks.

Another of the many reasons to hate vegans.
This isn't a vegan issue nearly as much as it's a control war waged by leftists. While I think it's bizarre to want to name the animal before you have it slaughtered, it isn't quite so strange when years before, children would name an animal on the farm, feed it and care for it, before the same fate befell the animal.
The process gave kids the understanding that animals are ultimately food (for some species, at least) and while there might be some emotional attachment, in the end, the food part wins out.
Violence at the hands of these hand-wringing zealots thinly disguised as vegans is but an indicator of a much larger and uglier quality - leftists who want to control others.
There is no other explanation.
