The ones we hear inside a building are either Police or private choppers doing Aeriell photography or surveying the area. These fly close to the ground and make a racket of noise.

Our small town airport has in good weather all kinds of gizmo's flying just above tree top, ultra lights and home made in the garage contraptions with Snow Machine engines or water ski engines for propelsion. I would be more afraid of a neighbors who builds these things and their teenage kid on drugs decides to buzz the block then any Military chopper.
