* * * * *CAVEAT* * * * *

This is not a poll suggesting my fellow alum Skins allow conservativecave to be mentioned on Skins's island.

Skins's island is private property, and my fellow alum is free to have whatever rules he wishes to have (and enforce; he doesn't seem too big on equitable across-the-board enforcement, though), the exact same rights the owners of conservativecave enjoy.

This is just an idle question, nothing more than that.

Well, most of us know what happened yesterday, Saturday.

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,59047.0.html

I have no opinion on the matter, other than that I am confused that Skins appears to fear the primitives coming over here.  We're just a little-itty-bitty tiny minuscule web-site, and even in the general scheme of things, Democrats, liberals, and primitives outnumber decent and civilized people, ten-to-one, even a hundred-to-one, according to some primitives.

That aside, I must admit I get a great deal of innocent merriment out of that the primitives want to respond to us from the safe haven of Skins's island, but can't.  The only way the primitives can talk back to us is by coming here to register and post, but that's apparently beyond the cerebral sophistication of most of the primitives.

It's a great deal of fun, watching the primitives get all vexed and bent out of shape and gnashing their teeth, because they want to yell at us from the other side, but can't.

  • Where are you going? I was gonna make espresso!
Oh, they can yell at us all they want, and fling all the poo from their cages that they can excrete.

But it matters not, because they know if they want to play on the island, they have to obey $kinner's rules.  That means that at least for the time being, mention of CC or other conservative websites, not to mention posting on them, is an uber-verboten act.

They can stand no pain...mental or physical...ergo the pills, dope and no hard labor.

They'll only come over in a gang...safety in numbers you know. They'll smear some crap on the walls and then run laughing for cover at the DUmp.

A couple might get a lump on the head from the cricket bat of "facts" but most will run soon as the facts start flying.

I noticed a rash of new members registering since the thread, but no postings from them.

I'm sure they will, as soon as they can clean the crayon scribble off their monitors.

No, they shouldn't.

My position remains the same, and it's the same advice the primitives' master, Skinner, has handed down to to them in the past:  They need to ignore we exist and just go on about their business.

The problem (and I've recounted this here a few times) is that from the very first moment we started doing this at CU, they didn't like it.  In fact, they signed up to let us know their opinions were to be taken seriously and that laughing at them was non grata.  You even had nutcases like "Rationality" who swore to see us removed from the internet for poking fun at liberals.  So making fun of them and pointing out our superior intellect compared to their foolish notions drives them crazy, and has since we started doing so.

I've told the primitives time and time again that the way to get us to stop laughing at them is very simple; just stop saying stupid things.  They've haven't, therefore we haven't.

The thing is they can't do anything to stop up (which further angers them) and we have no intentions of not continuing to laugh at their immaturity and stupidity, so they might as well accept their fate and just ignore that we're here.  That would be the logical thing for the primitives to do.  And since they aren't going to do the logical thing (it's not what they do), they have no one to blame but themselves.

  • All in all, not bad, not bad at all
I say "no", absolutely. The lower profile this place has at the DUmp, the less self-conscious the DUmbasses will be about exposing their lunacy.
That means more entertaining threads for the enjoyment of decent and civilized people. Even our relatively small presence at the DUmp has had a terrible effect on their behavior. Many of the best, craziest DUmmies rarely post. Any time a good thread is highlighted, PMs start flying among the DUmbasses, the "visitor" tally here shoots up, and that's bad for future entertainment. The DUmmies who enjoy being mocked and ridiculed are the DUmbest of the DUmb. Like Pam Dawson and Stimpy, they're simply too stupid to sustain the site. The really funny lunatics like the CalPig, Pedro, nutcase nadin, and the vicious old bats of the cooking and baking group, shrink from the daylight. The less attention this place gets at the DUmp, the better.

And having more DUmbasses come here would completely change this site. It would go from being a source of entertainment, sometimes hilarious, to a constant, foul, acrimonious brawl. All  of us see DUmp democrats as stupid and twisted people, but most of us also harbor a genuine hatred for them and what they have done and want to do to the country, and have no desire to trade insults with them in a forum.

This place is best for entertainment, like going to the zoo. I enjoy the zoo immensely, but I have no interest in having the cages opened and being forced to fight with the monkeys.

Some may welcome them here, but I'd see it as coming home to find a stack of dog shit in the middle of your new carpeting, and being unable to clean it up.

I have always found it interesting, amusing and quite revealing that despite how much they hate the way we mock their demented idiocy they never try to reciprocate.
They know that what they believe is wrong and stupid so can`t even for fun mention truths.

I voted "no."

The inhabitants of the DUmp don't seem to share information well.  Discussion seems difficult.  The overt presence of conservatives would just muddle what little debate there is further.  The screeching would increase the time I have to spend locating outside information.  No thank you.

I go to DU to see links to liberal editorials on current events and policy.  Kind of a clearinghouse.  It's more efficient than slogging through the internet and trying to guess which sources have credence with mainstream liberals.  Although, much of the opinion at DU is extreme, they do read popular liberal media.

Hi, members of Conservative Cave...you sweet trolls! A few suggestions

1. Feel free to post. i came upon your website by accident.
Suuure it was.
Their poo-fu was strong while it lasted. :rotf:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

I think some of them registered just to see if there was some hidden forum for members only.

Don't mention how many posts are required to gain access and how many secret subforums there are and how may oaths are needed to get to each level.

Same here. I voted yes for that very reason. Maybe they could use the foam around their mouth as shaving cream. Face for the men, legs for the women and armpits for all three genders.

I voted yes.
Its just part of embracing diversity to acknowledge there are conservative thinkers out there.

The primitives will no more invade CC than they already are...They are a cowardly and superstitious lot, fearful of real debate.

But its also part of a more adult conversation. Daily Kos can mention us, but not DU. No reason other than they are being big babies about it.

Skinner. If you are watching/reading this: You can test the openness by allowing any mention ONLY in the "conservative" Topical Forum." That way your wards can discuss us and even make open letter towards us. We can answer/quote DU here. and DU can answer/quote CC there. You will still have the haven from evil conservatives, and limit free speech to one forum.

Well, Frank, I voted 'No,' because I share you child-like sense of mirth when one of them steps on their self-created explosive obstacles to freedom of thought and open discussion.  Idiots getting blown up are always funny.

For the few of them that are capable of eventually developing anything akin to analytical thinking and abstract reasoning, it also serves as a valuable (If rather Darwinian) teaching tool, to assist them to see that the Leftist cloud palaces they've been sold rest on a foundation of solid lies and hypocrisy.

Right; rules are rules, and that's one of the rules on Skins's island.

When a primitive violates one of my fellow alum's rules, it's a lack of respect for he who has so generously and magnanimously given the primitives a place of their own; a place for the primitives to play and cavort and romp and spew hate.

The primitives, really, need to demonstrate some gratitude for Skins.  He didn't have to do all he's done for them.

Uh huh again.

And not only saying, but doing, stupid things.

It never made it to the DUmpster, but it was featured in an edition of P-J Comix's most-excellent DUmmie FUnnies two weeks ago today, in which the supermoles on Skins's island got together and played a prank on the primitives.

(franksolich was the lone dissenting vote, and so I didn't participate.)

So.....a lot of primitives (not as many as had been hoped, but a lot of them anyway) spent hours and hours downloading 1.5 gigabytes of material to their computers.....material that was utter garbage.

In the egregious absence of the "JOOOOOooooooooooooos" option, I voted no.

It's much more humorous that they wallow in the double standard that is the DU.

God alone suffices.

No. **** them. They can come over and talk or they can stay safe at the asylum and take their meds. The mods would have far to much to deal with just like what happened at Neutural Undergraound. They had both sides going at it but they let the lefty loons run the place. Not that it would happen here but the constant need to watch over threads and send them to fight club would be enough to tie everything up here.
