13/13 but that was a very basic test of general and superficial concepts. At least they got in a global warming question. For awhile there I was thinking they wouldn't.

Name the first and second laws of Thermodynamics.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The First Law of Thermodynamics is, "Don't talk about thermodynamics."

The Second Law of Thermodynamics is, "Don't talk about thermodynamics on a first date," which would make it a corollary of the First law of Thermodynamics.

The First Law of Thermodynamics for DUmmies is:  Don't touch the hot stove.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics for DUmmies is:  If you smell burning flesh, take your hand off the stove.

Physics for DUmmies:

What is Thermodynamics?

Thermodynamics is the way a Thermos works.

How does the Thermos know whether the hot stuff should be kept hot or the cold stuff should be kept cold? Through "thermodynamics".

You see, food and coffee and stuff has these units of heatedness. They are called "British Thermos Units", because a British guy invented them. When your food has positive BTUs, then the Thermos figures out to keep it hot. When your food has negative BTUs, the Thermos keeps it cold.

It's like magic, except kinda more scientific. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Well done Big Dog....Good to bring science to the masses in easily understood terms.  I have half a mind to republish my dissertation on the mysterious Bernoulli, the tiny (invisible to the naked eye) creatures that hold airplanes up in the air.

Perhaps you could post it slowly, so they can read it without falling behind.

There is one DUmmy who could plagiarize copy your work and earn the second D in PhDD! Her previous thesis on the history of Bolivia borrowed heavily from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and those commercials about The World's Most Interesting Man.

Is it sad that I knew nitrogen is the most abundant gas in our atmosphere from watching Star Trek?

I got 13 out of 13 not bad for an anti science tea bagger.

Heh.....

That's the one I missed.    :hammer:  I could swear I read hydrogen, somewhere.  Damnit Jim, that'll learn me for not picking up the entire original series on DVD.

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe.

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe.
The better for making hydrogen bombs, and thermoses to contain the blast.
