I am---again---sickened by the lying GOP "operatives" on my TV machine who are tryiing
to defend Trump. My impulse is to ask "Where do they find such people?", but then I realize that being a shameless whore is considered a positive attribute in today's GOP.
So far, they have pulled all manner of outright lies and total irrelevancies out of their---well, you know where Republicans get their "facts", don't you? If they aren't allowed to deflect, change the subject or scurry down a series of "waddabout" rabbit holes, they accuse their opponents of---wait for it---deflection, changing the subject and unjustified hatred of that greatest of all presidents, Donald Trump.
They are rude, loud and completely uninhibited about looking into the camera and saying things they not only know are ridiculously false, but which they know that 99% of the audience knows are ridiculously false. And, the talking heads treat them with respect and eventually thank them for "sharing their views" or some other inanity.
My gag reflex has had a workout today. "CLICK".

2. Randi Rhodes has a good idea
Make it so any Congressperson or president who speaks in the capacity of their position is automatically under oath.
If you want the label of "News" as a broadcast outlet, internet, or paper you must go through editing layers to arrive at the truth otherwise you don't get to use the "News" label.

You want to keep the money, you have to call it unfounded, un-fact-checked opinion.

How many Constitutional Amendments and provisions would that violate? Freedom of speech ... Equal Protection ... Congress members' immunity from lawsuits when speaking in official sessions ... any I missed?
You like your doctor? You like your health plan? Remind me, who told those lies?
Randi Rhodes is still around? I hadn't heard her name since Err America collapsed because Libs and ordinary people declined to listen to it (I tried, a couple of times ... lasted about 30 seconds before deciding clipping my nails was more important that listening to vacuous snark and condescension).
