My letter to our beloved liberal senator in FL
« on: December 21, 2009, 08:31:08 AM »
Dear Senator Nelson:

Your legacy will be a simple one.  He got elected to congress and then decided to quit representing those who hired him.

He voted for a bailout bill that 90% of the American people opposed.

He voted for a health care bill that 70% of the American people opposed, and an even higher percentage of Florida seniors.

He was a politicion, sold out his fellow citizens for his personal gain.  Indeed politicians rank lower in rating than used care salesmen.

Senator, you have no honor, dignity, self-respect, you have instead sold your soul to the democrat party and will live with that decision for the rest of your life.

You will be fired in the next election, unfortunately for the citizens of Florida that is not soon enough.

Oh don't worry; your letter will be intercepted by some 20-year old moonbat staffer before such harsh words can unsettle His Lordship's tummy during his coffee break.

Sad but true.

5412, good letter, as per your usual.

Very true!  You may get a generic reply back - something oh, off topic and unrelated to the original letter written.  Pisses me off, cause it's happened too many times (to me).  They don't read um, they don't respond directly to um, and they don't really give a shit.

Hi,

i send the emails regularly which is even more galling.  He ignores thousands of emails, phone calls and letters, basically gives us the finger and does as he wishes.

I have finally concluded that about the only thing one can do is attack his legacy.  They are such egotists, they think they are so damn important it is nuts.  I have met four senators in my life time, at the time I held them in very high regard, they were men of principle and values and stuck with them.  Not so anymore, they are scum and should no longer be looked up to.

We went to a meeting the other night and the speaker, a 60 year old mother asked a question, "How many of you actually loathe Senator Nelson?"  All hands went up in an instant.  What a poor excuse for a public servant.

And finally, I am a realist, doubt that he will see my email, and I will get an email in return outlining how hard he fought for the health care bill and all the virtures of the bill.  Only the amendment he proposed got shot down but he will not mention that.

There are several of us who are really intending to make his life uncomfortable should he decide to run again in 2012.  How about a bunch of 70 year olds carrying some very caustic signs at his rallies....

regards,
5412

There are so many of us out here that feel this very same way about our State Governors, our Senators, and District Representatives.  The scary part is, let's say these weasels (currently in office) do get voted out, their successor will most likely be another lying, unfit weasel with a whole lotta of money and no brains.  Who can you trust??

You are right about the replacement weasels.  My only hope is this tea party movement has gone longer than any other protest.  Maybe if most of those low lifes up for re-election are voted out, the newbies with get the message we are tired of the sh*t in government, and like the 'contract with America' they will settle down, only this time for more than a few weeks when the public forgets again.  If not vote them out, two year term limits on reps. seems about right until honesty returns.

I think everybody in the entire country feels the same way you all do about our communiques to the weasels.  It's all on auto-delete for emails, the voice mails are just erased with a quick push of a button, and any paper letters are run through the shredder.  One of mine is Schumer, you know he doesn't give a @#$%.

We have an albatross in common, then.  What I used to get from Schumer's office were replies to emails I had sent out 2, 3, maybe 4 months ago, with the standard boilerplate B.S. response - I don't even get those anymore.  Perhaps we should start working towards getting rid of him, or at least making his political life as painful as is humanly possible.

2010 midterms are going to be a bloodbath for the democrats.  Followed by a regime change in 2012.

I'm hoping for this.

I'm hoping for this.

I hope so also, but I'm not holding my breath about it.  The American public has proven to me far too many times how short sighted and how short of memory they are.

Not to mention just flat out apathetic.

Hi,

Our idiot does not run for senate again until 2012.  I have pointed out to him several times he needs to clean out his desk and start looking for his cushy lobbying job because he is going to be fired next chance we get.

Now, as to making his life miserable, good idea.  Problem is he is virtually invisible in Florida.  He is in exile because I never see anything about him making appearances.  While we were in IL for the summer I did not see him conducting any town hall meetings.

how hard would it be to get a group of like-minded seniors to sit outside his office everyday, rotating in and out as needed?  just having to see his constituents sitting in his hallway, or better yet in his parking spot, with signs saying "Sen Nelson, this is for you:" with a pink piece of paper attached might get some attention.  He would at least have to acknowledge that you exist when he walks around you, plus it's public land, so they can't boot you without curtailing your 1st amendment rights.

Hi,

They had a protest at his Orlando office, but the problem seems to be is where is he?  More than likely we would have to be in Washington.

I would love to know where he lives,
