Beto O’Rourke Is Making His Last Stand in Texas

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/10/05/beto-orourke-texas-governor-election-00060060

Quote
AUSTIN, Texas — In a cavernous, modern sanctuary at Greater Mt. Zion Church, the Rev. Gaylon Clark introduced Beto O’Rourke to his congregation one recent Sunday as “the next governor of the state of Texas.” Then he raised his hand and, over the strains of a keyboard, prayed for “victory in the name of Jesus.”

In the sanctuary, the churchgoers said, “Amen.” In the lobby, they lined up for pictures with the one-time Democratic sensation now lagging in the polls.

What are the Las Vegas odds that had an Evangelical or Catholic church hosted Governor Abbott in equivalent fashion, LIEden's IRS would have been pounding down the church's door within days?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Is DU screaming for church taxation over this story?

Francis is not having a good run for Governor of our state. I think when this is done he’ll just go back to being a multimillionaire with no purpose.

What's the matter, Robert Francis? You couldn't find a church in El Paso willing to step into the political pig shit with you? Or Houston? You certainly wouldn't find one in Sweetwater or Abilene.

I really hope so.  His senate run was too close for comfort, but last I looked, the polls have him safely far behind Abbot.
I'm sure he would do real good in Cali politics, maybe he should return a couple of these u-hauls we got from there.

He had FAR more California money coming in for the senate race, although he tried to deny it. After he lost to Cruz I think his big money backers realized he didn’t have a chance here … yet.

Conservative voices haven’t been watered down that much here yet.

Multimillionaire -- with Daddy's money.

I thought it was his father-in-law's $$$.

Certainly there are pockets of Texas that are heavily lib-turd (Austin, inner city Dallas & Houston especially), but there are enough in the rest of the state filled with rational Texas friends to outweigh that stupidity.

You are correct, sir, about where Robert Francis gets his money and I stand corrected. Which makes it worse, frankly. He had to marry into money to make his political "stand". Despicable shit-for-brains.  :whatever:

No reason to panic, necessarily, but Robert Francis managed to raise a SLIGHTLY more amount of money than did Abbott.

Cruz had a difficult time with this urchin. Abbott would be wise to not discount the power of OTHER STATES' money in Texas.
