"The fact that there's a brother in the White House is just so unsettling to so many people."

UPDATE: Voter ID bill set to pass (VIRGINIA) House on Wednesday
http://www2.timesdispatch.com/news/virginia-politics/2012/jan/31/1/at-capitol-rally-nearly-300-decry-voter-id-bills-ar-1652900/

Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones said the bills were specifically targeted to suppress the vote of "those who turned Virginia blue in 2008," when President Barack Obama carried the state on his way to victory.

"There are some nefarious things going on that cause us some grave concern," Jones said. "The fact that there's a brother in the White House is just so unsettling to so many people."

Civil rights leader and former executive director for the NAACP Benjamin Chavis also gave a blistering speech calling the proposed legislation "arrogant bills introduced by arrogant politicians.'

Chavis said the proposed changes "represent the old South" and "lynch democracy."

No, the fact that there is an America hating socialist in the White House is what is unsettling to so many people.

As usual it is the Libtards who are clueless. As someone else has pointed out here already "we don't dislike 0bama because he's black, we dislike him because he's red".

I've noticed he has been campaigning hard in all the inner cities lately in his reelection bid too  ::) (Not)

The fact is, for all you drama queens who relish the perpetual victim role and never miss an opportunity to play 52 pick-up with your deck of race cards, Mr. Soetoro does not identify with you. He was never "down with the struggle" and certainly would not be caught dead living in the average African American neighborhood.

He is using you.

He's NOT a brother. He grew up partially in a foreign country that hated the US and the other half with a silver spoon in his mouth attending private schools in HI living with his rich grandparents. Oh, and his mother was white. He had to learn to pretend to be a brother (someone must have put the instructions on a teleprompter) in college and from Jeremiah Wright.

If momma has no idea who the baby daddy is, you might be a brother.

If daddy doesn't care where he sows his seed, you might be a brother.

If momma doesn't care what crawls between her legs, you might be a brother.

If you're daddy was ever in that state, you might be a brother.

"Screwy" Dewey is spouting the race card.  Nevermind that Virginians have had to show ID to vote as far back as I have been voting (1977), although I don't know if it was a statewide law or just a regional thing.  It would have to be regional, since it's a liberal mayor in a liberal and predominately black city bitching about it.

Passing this law statewide would take away the felon, student, illegal immigrant, and wino vote for Zero.

And no, it doesn't bother me there is a "brother" in the White House.

What bothers me there is a communist in the White House.

If you're judging someone on the color of his politics, you might be a racist.

If you drive a FORD, you might be a racist.

If you question Obie_Won, you might be a racist.

If you eat fattening foods, you might be a racist.

1. Obama's not technically a "Brother" (If by that, he means an African- American, which I'd assume is the case, since ultra- liberals love deflecting every single criticism of Obama and his policies simply by playing their trusty race card). He's mixed- race, his mother was white, and his father's side of the family has more Arabic blood than African.
2. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Obama; It's simply about preventing voter fraud of the sort that Democrats love engaging in every time there's a major election.

Brother denotes a DNA kindship with another.

Then there is the military where a time after survival denotes a kinship beyond the DNA ,color, race or  religion.
Brothers in arms, Brothers in activity's that threaten them both.

Not much different from actual brothers, Cain and Able were the first to turn on each other.  One can call at church brother or sister, then see how their own family's with brothers and sisters turn out.

Anyone call me sister or Hubby brother , first thing I wonder is how are these people going to try to screw me and him.

I have no brothers or sisters, so I can only be a friend to others.    Hubby has 6 siblings and 4 have darn near bankrupted him.   What in hell does he need another brother for------ say friend or acquaintance, when some one says to him they consider him as a brother, Hubby steps back in horror at the memory's of his own blood brothers and their actions.

From my signature.
Quote
racist – A statement of surrender during an argument. When two people or disputants are engaged in an acrimonious debate, the side that first says “Racist!” has conceded defeat. Synonymous with saying “Resign” during a chess game, or “Uncle” during a schoolyard fight. Originally, the term was meant to indicate that one side was accusing the other of being racist, but once it was noticed that people only resorted to this tactic when all other arguments had been exhausted, it acquired its new meaning of “indicating one’s own concession of defeat.”
When all else fails they resort to name calling.

Sorry April this is off the radar scope for me.      Funny in the early 1960's we had a jump rope saying, " Ennie, miney, moe catch a N**** by the toe.

Then out of no where the N**** was changed to Tiger by the toe.   Most likely because us kids up here had no idea of what a N**** was or looked like.

Race goes beyond the borders of black or white, Dad had a fit when a liberated German family came to town as the boy I liked had a father that was in the Nazi youth movement. The very man that invented the automic bowling machine to replace the ball boys.

So strange as Dad was working with an EX u-boat Captain that was brought over after the war. Dad had a respect for the Captain and spent many hours listening to his story's.  Dad respected the man for his courage and a good opponent in the war, but he would have had a shit fit had I dated the Captains son.

Race is not just about Genetics, religion comes into this.   Anyone know someone that had to convert to another faith to be able to have a church wedding ???

Then the worse that happens, Churched family's have a son come home and declare they are now Muslim.  What the frig is the Christian family to do.

Gets complicated, family's do intermarry, Darn my family had now got 7 different religions and ethnic origions.---- So what, Go with the flow and accept the future.   Pray for the best for the grandkids and put the racism and religion aside, cant do anything about it, so, just hang on and wait for whats to come next.

As a resident of Virginia, I have no issue with requiring ID to vote. Unless you're truly homeless acquiring one is not difficult to do. All you need is your birth certificate, Social Security card, and a bill that was mailed to your home. Getting an ID is a simple matter of going down to the DMV and getting one. As a matter of fact I was in and out to get a new drivers license in less than an hour.
I have no problem showing an ID and I have no problem requiring other people to do that because I want to make sure that my vote counts and not some dead guys.

As I've asked before, if producing and ID is so difficult for blacks, then why don't we hear cries of racism when they're asked to produce ID to ride on Amtrack, or board a plane, or rent a car, or acquire a room in many hotels, or enter some building where you have to have an appointment with someone within the building to enter.

It seems the only time producing an ID is racist is when it comes to voting.

Kind of a problem for some folks to produce an ID Card .  The illegals would head south to VA. and pay off a worker at the DMV and get a drivers license for a couple hundred bucks, head back up north and head for the DMV in northern towns and get a valid state drivers license up here.

No problem just show up with the VA. drivers license, take a test of perhaps 10 questions and off they go with a valid ID from whatever state in the north they lived in.

The Embassy's in NY churn out birth certificates, and darn near any ID anyone wants for a price.

Our very small town had a town clerk that blew the whistle on the people coming in with their so called international drivers licenses.  She Had one , it is a paper document and she was getting folks in with some kind of lamated card, much like our Driveres license.   She called the cops and even some of the State police did not know these cards were not legal.  What a mess, all towns in the state had to be alerted, The town police and State police all over the state. -------This one town clerk in a Podunk town caught the Scam that even our State police were being fooled with.

Then In Maine, Mom went to get her license renewed at the age of 87, she had had a license in Maine for 50 years, she had her Military card as a dependent, her still active license, but they insisted on seeing her frigging birth certificate. ------Insane, what they looked at her, her past 50 years of license in the state but even with other ID  needed to know if she was what--Legal -----Had she just gone in and spoke Ethiopian with an interpreter she would have gotten her license on the spot.

ID's are not worth a hill of beans today, when Moms Military dependent  card was turned down as Identification yet  Identification cards that are mass produced are excepted, Hell anyone can go to a cemetery, note the birth dates of a youngster, head for the Court house and get their birth  certificate , claim the dead child is you and go on to use that certificate to do most anything they wish under that name.

Only in the last 30 years have kids at birth been given SS# numbers, None of my kids got them until they applied for one as late teenagers.

This becomes a world of ---" Who are you, Who were you, do you even want to know?"

My first girlfriend was one of the Puerto Ricans I mentioned.  My family was shocked and upset that I would date a Catholic Puerto Rican girl.  Her family was shoked and upset that she was dating a white protestant boy.  Her father went to lengths to break us up.

I've never see or heard the official democrat policy.

So does mulatto count as a "brother"?

How about quatroon?

What if a mulatto impregnates an Asian girl? Would the child become a "brother".

I guess it would depend on whether he's good at math.

Really Vesta?
I had to hand over so many forms of ID and proof of residency and the whole 9 yards just to prove that I was an American citizen and I actually lived in Virginia to get an ID. I was surprised I didn't have to handover a DNA sample. Maybe your northern DMV's are that gullible but not here. I had to go through more here to get a drivers license that I ever did in Maryland.

Yes, I know I have a bitch slap coming for that quote.

For some strange reason, libs are stuck on "drivers licence".
It does not have to be a drivers licence.

Apparently, vesta watches too much "Law & Order" - drivers licenses and guns are handed out in supermarket parking lots in the South whereas the laws are so much more stringent and better in New England.
