Hi
« on: August 03, 2009, 08:15:12 AM »
Just wanted to share something of my own transition from liberal to conservative. Aged 22, and events in my life have led me to believe that the liberal way of life leads to nothing but misery. Believe me, I know!

Welcome!

What opened your eyes if I may ask??
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

A combination of things really. One of them being that I had a VERY nasty experience with drugs. Id turned my back on so many good stable values that my life was just coming unravelled.

Welcome, Wolf. It's great that you've recovered from the illness of liberalism. Regrettably, many people never do recover and they further degrade into something approximating whiny moonbats, which are never pleasant to listen to much less be around.

Hehe - well, I've been making a number of big changes in my life. All of them, I hope, for the good.
