Title: printer issue
Post by: franksolich on February 24, 2012, 02:24:41 PM
Okay, so three weeks ago I got this new printer, a Canon something-or-the-other, and it works fine on all things--printing, copying, and scanning.....excepting one thing.

Usually--in fact damned near all the time--I'm interested only in printing text documents from Microsoft Word, and in that respect it works great.

However, for the first time, today I decided to print a thread from conservativecave--"Nebraska in Brooklyn," in the Sandhills forum.

The computer promised me it was going to print the whole bit.

But it didn't.

I got four pages off that thread, and what should've been between pages 2 and 3 didn't print (i.e., the last half of my original post; it printed half of that and then skipped to printing CG6468's comment).

What does one do, so as to ensure an entire thread's going to be printed?

Click the PRINT button in the upper-right corner of the thread.

It will print everything except pictures.

Okay, I'll give that a try.

I had been going to the Firefox "File" and then "Print" thingamajig at the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

I'll let you know how it comes out.

Okay, that worked.

Hit "print" at the top of the thread, and then go to "File" and "Print" on Firefox, and it comes out exactly as you said it would.  Too bad the pictures don't print too, but oh well.  Better half a loaf than not even a crumb.
