After 18 months being laid off.. I was called by the owner, he wants me back....
Words can't explain the feeling. I am actually dumbfounded and in shock. Not that I don't deserve it, I worked very hard and did my best while I worked for him. He talked very highly of my work and would not pay me less than what I had been making, but also he wanted me to be satisfied also. After the call... I walked up to my wife and hugged her and both of us had tears in our eyes.
Well, that's good news, and congratulations, but hasn't this been a rather long time coming.
I thought
il Duce Bo was going to have this taken care of at 11:01 a.m. January 20, 2009.
The primitives promised us he would.
In case one needs reminded, that was a very long time ago.

9. Cool now do you want to adopt?
I know a 53 year old man that needs a nice home. Seriously, great that things worked out for you.

29. That is exactly my age...
For the first time in my life I haven't been able to find adequate work. I was starting to wonder about what I could offer to an employer.
I wish you well...and as I told my Father in Law who was concerned about my unemployment running out... "Every life one lives will have points of uncertainty. But one thing that is for certain is that a door will appear when needed. It has happened in my parents lives and my own. So I told him not to worry, something will happen I was certain of it. This was two weeks ago. It was quite a call to him to inform him that indeed something did happen and I got called back to work. Be luck or coincidence, I am not sure.... but it's what I call Faith.
Not in a Supreme Being...but Faith in myself that if I always work hard and do my best at whatever I do... things will always work out.

Yeah, there hasn't been any good news ever since January 20, 2009.

54. on the phone he said ... " I don't know if your available " I had to work at not jumping out of my chair and yell "When do I start?" I kept calm ... took a deep breath and explained I would be honored to come back and work for him. It's dealing with the manufacturing of VERY high end furniture. Exclusive stuff.
Oh.
So that's the sort of work the joker primitive does.
Probably one of those Vermontese woodworking shops that cater to the rich.

56. I hope so...
This companies clientele are in the top 1% in income in the U.S.
When I got laid off ... the owner told me sales had dropped over 50% in about two months. I was in the 2nd wave of layoffs. He said ... these people are still very rich. But in the last year (2008) their net worth had dropped almost in half... so if they were worth $10 million .. they were now worth about $5 million. Still very wealthy but it made them think about where they were spending their money and a $10,000 buffet MAYBE isn't such a good idea.
Anyway.. I hope it is a good sign things are going to pick up in all sectors.
Someone should alert the blue primitive, the "bluestateguy" primitive, (the campfire about taxing the wealthy, brought over just before this one) this is what the wealthy do with their money; they create jobs.
