Hey, DUchebags . . . President Carter did something that no other president since him has been able to repeat--he ****ed up the country (the economy, actually) so bad that he wasn't able to win re-election.  Yeah, he was an 'outsider' in that he was a peanut farmer at one time.  But he also had been Governor of Georgia, which makes him part of the Establishment.  President Trump was (and still is, by trust) a successful real estate developer, with zero political experience, and he's doing a passable job.  As time goes on, his performance will improve quite a bit.  He'll win re-election, especially if he gets the economy roaring between now and the summer of 2020.  And if the economy stays good, expect a Republican to win the White House in 2024, too. :whistling:

Looks like Carter was hospitalized earlier today as a precaution after getting dehydrated. Not trivial, since Carter's 92, but he'll probably be released soon. I'm sure Trump will respond to this news appropriately, and probably quietly/privately.

DU folk sure are eager for imaginary pretexts for expressing their TDS.

You would think that after his collapse while attempting that 10K back in the 70s* that Carter would remember to stay hydrated (maybe with Gatorade or something similar).

* IIRC, it was a very challenging 10K, Carter was under-trained, and it was a hot day. BTDTGTTS, w/o the near collapse and USSS agents, so I'm not mocking him.
