Just on the statement Khan made alone with no external context from any of his other statements, I thought Trump wasn't helping things by dipping his oar in this water. However, part of that context is that Khan is on record for standing against assimilation and for the failure that is multiculturalism (Which apparently means 'Every culture is wonderful except the English one'), and so the bottom line is that Sadiq Khan really is a total asshat.
