So, it was invented for DUmmies who want to clock in and out of work exactly on time so they don't give the man more than he paid for.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I seem to recall the old standard atomic clock was cesium based that vibrated at a rate of 30,000 hertz.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Now this is my idea of a real clock. No batteries required, keeps excellent time even during a power outage, chimes on the hour and half-hour,........and it looks like a clock. Ansonio made this one in 1842, and I'll pass it on to somebody deserving of a fine timepiece.

Excellent looking timepiece. Those just don't get made like that anymore, save perhaps in the Black Forest or in Switzerland.

Tis true, though there are still fine USA clocks made by Chelsea.

Which one?

atomic beam magnetic resonance
Ammonia molecule
cesium (since the 50's, first in UK then here), NBS1 through 7, currently NIST-F1
