For me it is either Medina or Hutchison.  I'm leaning Medina but I don't like the tax she would like to put on the sale of homes.  AT ALL.  It could move me to Hutchison.

Gaw.  I really don't like Hutchison.  I am done with Perry.  I just don't know.  I am leaning Medina, but depending on what I hear, I may go for one of the other two.  I feel pretty confident we will get another republican in though.

Got my card in the mail today as well.

Hutchison is number one, but I can pull the lever for Medina as well. There is no way in hell I would ever vote for Perry.

Maybe we all throw our hats into the ring for Farouk Shami ..... let the repubs pick one of the 3 .....no way in HELL we could lose to that freak no matter who is the republican candidate.

Ya know, there is some thought to that!  Local DJ's up here say if Shami wins, the headline will say Shami-wow!

I don't like that KBH voted for that DC gun law.  I have many more reasons why I don't like her, including she is a lying sack of poo, and I don't know if I can endure another term of Perry's.

Just damn.

If I had to be realistic (which sucks), I'd bet it'll be a Perry/White contest come November.

I called that amongst my friends a month ago.  Realistically, that is what is going to happen.  I would bet $$ on it.  But, I think regardless of who the republican running is, they will win against White.

Candidate Debra Medina on the Glenn Beck Radio Show said she does not dismiss the idea that the government was behind 9-11.

Her campaign is over. She was rising into 2nd place in some polls before that.

Ouch.  That's a NO vote from me.  I was kinda liking her too.

She certainly changed her tune after the show.

read this:
http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/02/texas-gubernatorial-tea-party-candidate-implodes-on-glenn-beck-show/

and then this:

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people, whether it's Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting for the bank bailout. It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government. Texas does not need another politician who tells you what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property anyway. I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor, and that's the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their government. And the answer is yes, they should be.

Medina's a die-hard Ronbot.  She says what people want to hear, but her plans aren't feasible.  She won't be able to stand up to Washington.

Kay won't even try.  She's too busy accusing Perry of kickbacks, while filling her hubby's pockets.  She'll hand Texas over to the WH.

Perry's done good and bad.  He has learned to listen to his voters. I'm not crazy about him, either, tho.

And that is my biggest beef with her.  It is a shame about Medina.  It will be Perry for me I guess.  But by default only....

Maybe Sarah did some research before backing Perry?

Or she got lucky and picked the best default candidate.

Dunno.  Maybe it is an alliance to Republican Governors in general?  She would have lost a significant amount of credibility going with KBH.

I'd be more apt to go with #2.

Gov. Good Hair has never been what I'd call a Reagan Republican.  But I think he's smart enough to see the writing on the wall and realizes he needs to become just that to not only better serve the people of his state...but to continue holding the title of Governor as well.

GLENN: I have when I said that I was going to have you on, you can't imagine the mail pro and con that I received. There was a theme that ran against you and that is you are a 9/11 Truther.

MEDINA: Well, there's lots of mud that people would like to throw at Debra Medina and make stick. The truth is I'm an everyday ordinary person. I am fighting for the things that our founders fought for, those very basic principles of a constitutional republic, and I'm going to champion people that hold their government accountable, hold me accountable but that's the first time I've heard that accusation. So that's an interesting one.

GLENN: Right. Here's then let me be more frank and ask you the question: Do you believe the government was any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Centers on 9/11?

MEDINA: I don't, I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. So I don't I'm not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there. So I've not taken a position on that.

GLENN: I think the people of America might think that might be a yes.

You Texans gonna vote in a Truther?

Wow...  I hope not.  But from what I gather, Perry isn't exactly a prize.
