Ear Worm of Late
« on: November 21, 2022, 07:46:33 PM »
Yeah, I know we have several "ear worm" threads on CC, but none of them quite angle to this particular one that's been rattling around in my head for the past week or so.

Remember the British TV program "The Avengers?" It ran from 1961-69 the first time, then again for another season in 1976-77.

Laurie Johnson (still alive, amazingly, at the age of 95) wrote the theme music I'm most familiar with -- that being the era of Patrick Macnee as John Steed and his cohort Diana Rigg as Emma Peel. Other actors came and went, but those two personified the program for me.

Fast forward to 4:20 to hear the source of my @#$# ear worm!

I love the bite of the bass trombone with that simple motif of two eighth notes.
