Beetlejuice (Lori Lightner) is proud of that, I'm sure. Personally, I'm surprised to see St. Louis in the #30 spot. It's become a Democrat hellhole.

Fifty cities are listed. Is yours one of them?

Chicago may soon need to change its name from “The Windy City” to the “Rattiest City,” after topping Orkin’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities List, yet again. Orkin released the list today, and for the eighth consecutive year, the Midwest city takes the top spot. New York beat out Los Angeles for the #2 ranking and entering the top 20 this year is Hartford, CT, taking the#19 spot, and Miami, rising three spots to secure the #20 spot.

Orkin ranked metro regions by the number of new rodent treatments performed from September 1, 2021, to August 31, 2022. This ranking includes both residential and commercial treatments.

Nope, but I've seen plenty of racoons and possums out on the Dallas streets, even during daylight.

Here's something I wonder about this Orkin study. Their methodology is by number of rodent treatments by city. Is that just because people in Chicago are more worried about rats than the actual existence of rats? Chicago is a huge city by land area, much larger than NYC.

Never saw a rat in my decade of "serving time" as a homeowner in Chicago. Anecdotal evidence, of course. But I don't even recall seeing one when I worked in or near the loop.

Other than a politician, naturally. :rimshot:

In today's Chicago, especially the South Side, I'd posit that people are far more worried about getting shot in a drive-by than they are about calling in Orkin on a rat problem, real or envisioned.  :p
