I hate to say it, but we Have to root for a Scumbag
There is no doubt, at least IMO, that John McCain is the Republican that we dont want to face. He does the best against dems in all head to head polls, and is still respected by many, even though he's just George Bush all over again when it comes to the war. John McCain is in a dog fight with Romney in NH and it is time to suck it up and root for Romney so McCain's run can finally end. Romney and Huckabee are a hell of a lot easier to beat than McCain, so...Go Ultra Scumbag!!

and later...

6. McCain this year reminds me of a slightly more appealing Bob Dole, circa 1996.
He is beatable but he would pose the greatest challenge to the Dems.

Let's go Huckster! Let's go Mittens!

A small discussion right now.

One of the good things about this presidential election cycle is that it will be the last one McCain tries to hog in on.  Next time around, he will be even more "too old".   John will be turning 77 in 2012.

I love his Iraq stance. I just wish he was a wee bit conservative on anything else. I think Lieberman is to the right of McCain.

But if the DUmp hates him, though, he must have some redeeming qualities!  :-)

The thought of voting for him sickens me on any issue except the war.  Still hoping for a Fredstorm in the later primaries.  Or maybe RINO John would pick a good VP and decide he really was too old for it after the inauguration...
