My doctor has me on flexoril 10mg for my back since I am (still) recovering from back surgery earlier this year. Don't know if you've tried that route already or not. It works for me, not at all for my best friend. Valium tends to knock me out, so I only take them (also prescribed) when I know I can sleep for a long time.

Yeh, I tried flexeril and it did nothing.  I have a script for zanaflex that my ob gives me so I guess I will just double up on it.  It works great for cramps. :panic:

Pain medication has different outcomes for different people. The drowsiness effect will wear off after time in most cases. Often times a person will be in a better mood because they are in less pain.

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain.  :(
