What site are you going to for the scoreboard? ESPN does it pretty much instantly

You know, when these internet scoreboards first came into being, I thought they'd be the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread.

Because I'm deaf, I can't hear a game on the radio. True, there's television, but trust me, it's very awkward, and not worth it.

So in the past, I used to just wait until the Sunday newspapers arrived the next morning, to learn who won, and what happened.

Well then, internet scoreboards came along, promising instant, up-to-the-minute updates as things happened.

Yeah, right.

I'm using FoxSports.

I used ESPN two years ago.

Every year, I try a different site, hoping to find one that delivers.

ESPN wasn't delivering two years ago, nor was CBS last year.

And the year before that.....

These guys in those cubicles really need to be supervised, watched over, and yelled at if they're not doing their job.

Anyway, ESPN shows 4:10 to go in the half; FoxSports is still showing 11:50 to go in the half.

Damn those guys.

It seems an easy job, and they're probably well paid for it.

Near the end of the season, it gets really bad.

They promise a "live up-to-date" scoreboard, for example, on the weekend Army-Navy's the only college football game scheduled.

One still has to wait for the Sunday newspapers to come in the morning, because the guy in the cubicle's gone to a casino with his hottie, thinking because it's only one game, and usually a pretty boring one at that, nobody's going to want up-to-the-minute scores on it.

It's also bad during late-night games, such as those on the west coast.

They're doing their job only during the first half of a Saturday afternoon, and then they start tapering off.

So, one can see it gives the impression the final score was 14-20; one doesn't at first notice part of the right-hand side's been clipped off.

My apologies about the Paint brouhuahua.

I've had this new computer set up for a few days, but then I take my time customizing it, a couple of weeks or something, and I hadn't gotten around to finding Paint yet.
