Health authorities in the United States said they were investigating 14 new reports of the Zika virus possibly being transmitted by sex, including several pregnant women.
In the United States so far only a few cases of zika virus infections through sexual intercourse have been documented. While the American health authorities emphasized that the new reports were preliminary, with just two confirmed so far, the specter of so many cases — all in the continental United States brings many people to have second thoughts about traveling or having sex with migrants.
We were surprised that there was this number,†Dr. Anne Schuchat, the deputy director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in an interview. “If a number of them pan out, that’s much more than I was expecting.â€
And with the season for mosquitoes — still believed to be the primary mode of infection — nearing in the United States, it is likely to further complicate preparations in states across the country.
“This suggests that along with virus in the blood, Zika is gaining access to other fluids, including semen,†said Dr. Peter J. Hotez, the dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. “Anyone who is pregnant and lives in an area where the Zika virus is circulating will need her male partner to use condoms. In the coming weeks, that may include the U.S. Gulf Coast.â€

Oregon Health Authority has identified the first sexually-transmitted case of Zika in Oregon, officials said Friday.
A woman was infected with Zika Virus after having sex with a person who had traveled to a Zika-affected country and developed symptoms shortly after he returned, according to a news release. The woman had not traveled, but she and her sex partner both tested positive for Zika after having unprotected sex.
During a Friday news conference Dr. Richard Leman, public health physician, declined to say where the woman lives for confidentiality reasons. He said officials learned of the case during the past week, but it took them some time to confirm it.
Health officials said Friday that sexual transmission of the virus could be more common than they initially believed. In addition to the Oregon case, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating 13 other possible cases of sexually-transmitted Zika infections across the country, Leman said.

Progressive Gourmet Inc. of Wilmington, MA, is recalling its 6 ounce packages of Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar Cheese on English Muffin breakfast sandwiches manufactured for Starbucks Coffee Co. out of the abundance of caution because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
The product comes in a 6 ounce, clear plastic labeled package marked with Best Before: 07-AUG-2016 on the top. Note, no other production runs of this product are impacted by this recall.
These potentially impacted sandwiches were possibly sold to consumers by select Starbucks stores in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma Starbucks Stores on 3/3/16 and 3/4/16. The sandwiches may be heated at the store level for immediate consumption.
This recall is limited to impacted 250 stores in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma only. (The recalled sandwiches were distributed to warehouses in Maryland, North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana).

A employee was caught on video urinating into cereal at a cereal factory the video was posted just this week the news about the employee peeing into cereal was featured on numerous news channels although the main stream media didn't talk about it because the employee was black.
The black Employee actually urinated into rice Krispy cereal at the factory in Memphis Tennessee the video of the employee peeing into the cereal is still available for viewing until youtube takes it down.
