Ilhan Omar Goes After Obama, Suggests He Was a 'Pretty Face' Who Got 'Away With Murder'

Omar was fed up—not so much with Trumpism, or with politics in general, as with the Democratic Party.
As she saw it, the party ostensibly committed to progressive values had become complicit in perpetuating the status quo. Omar says the “hope and change” offered by Barack Obama was a mirage. Recalling the “caging of kids” at the U.S.-Mexico border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch, she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor.
“We can’t be only upset with Trump. … His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was,” Omar says. “And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.”

I went over there, fully expecting to see the majority of the primitives siding with her.
I was sure they'd support her because she's got Democrat Privilege, Woman Privilege, Minority Privilege, Anti-American Privilege, and most importantly, Islamacist Privilege, making her above criticism.
But nearly all are chastising her. Thus far.
I fully expect them to redress the imbalance before the thread's done.

The hypocracy among the primitives always amazes me because they can't imagine that people remember what they did or said in the past.
Bush does drone strikes and civilians are killed: evil American imperialist. Obama does that and more: well thought out policy and civilians deaths are to be expected. Obama separates kids from parents at the border: well done and protecting the kids. Trump does it: they’re caging kids!! Not to mention the lies they tell themselves about how these kids were caged during the Obama years.
I see OAC, Omar, and these other incoming congresswomen saying the very things I've read on DU for years, especially during the Bush years. But now these same primitives are upset with these reps saying the things the primitives said 10+ years ago. And you finally see some primitives pointing out just how poorly the Clinton administration handled some things. In years to come, I fully expect them to rake Obama over the coals for the very things we recognized as being stupid as they were talking place.
The primitives exist in the here and now. Thinking ahead of how what they believe will actually work out is beyond their capabilities.
