Ainus

In a land surrounded by Orientals, Japan, there is a group of people that lives like like their ancestors, the Ainus. Ainus are Caucasian people who live in Japan and Russia. They have brown or red hair. No one really knows where Ainus originated from. Some say they may have came from a lost civilization we don't know of, even pre-dating Sumeria. They likely descended from Jomon people. They are often characterized by men growing beards and women with tattoos that look like moustache. Ainus wear a snake on their forehead. They have the cult of snake. They speak a language not related to any known language. It maybe related to Basque, Burushaski, or Polynesian. Some even suggest it is an Altaic language. It shows some characteristics of Basque. Some linguists suggest Ainu language is related to Polynesian. Ainus once lived all over Japan after the Jomons. Ainus are fishing and hunting. They sacrifice a bear for their religious rituals. Some people believe that the Australian Aborgines, Vedda, and Batak could be related to Ainus. There is a good possiblity that the Polynesian people are from Ainus. Kennewick Man of Washington is likely Ainu. It is possible that before Indians came, Ainus lived in North America. They either were killed off or bred with the Indians of today. Some Amerindians may have Ainu blood in them. Ainus likely lived worldwide. Aleutians of Alaska maybe related to Ainu. Many place names in Japan are Ainu words, like the island of Hokkaido, city of Sapporo, or Mt. Fuji. Also, Ainus might of been Samurai warriors. Many Japanese weapons like Katana blades are from Ainu weapons. Ainus were also the ruling aristocrats in Japan. Many Japanese military leaders, politicians, and even the emperor are either part to full bled Ainu. Today, Ainus number in the 50,000 to 100,000. Many Japanese look down upon Ainus, despite the fact that many Japanese have some Ainu blood in them. It is possible that Ainu came from Southeast Asia in present day Indonesia in an area called Sundaland, which was likely a larger landmass. Ainus believe they are from the stars.

"In the late 1800s, Japanese settlers who crossed the sea to settle in Hokkaido pushed the indigenous Ainu people into small pockets of the island. The 1899 law urged the Ainu people to engage in farming, denying them the right to pursue their traditional culture and way of life. Currently, about 25,000 Ainu people are estimated to be living in Hokkaido, (the northern most Japan Island).

And I believe there was at least one Ainu member of the Diet (Japanese Government).
