JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Six people, including a New Jersey police officer, were killed in an hourslong standoff and shootout that brought a Jersey City neighborhood to a standstill Tuesday, investigators said.

The shootings unfolded in a cemetery and a convenience store near the Sacred Heart School.

Of the six people who died, one was Detective Joseph Seals, 40, who was married with five kids. The others killed included two of the three suspects in the case, as well as three civilians.

One of the “Black Hebrew Israelite” killers who targeted a Jewish grocery store in Jersey City left behind a handwritten note that said: “I do this because my creator makes me do this and I hate who he hates,” law enforcement sources told The Post.

The message was found inside the stolen U-Haul van David Anderson, 47, and his girlfriend Francine Graham, 50, on Tuesday drove to the Jersey City Kosher Supermarket, where they gunned down three people.

Sources have identified the pair as adherents of the Black Hebrew Israelites, a fringe religious movement not associated with mainstream Judaism that’s been labeled a hate group by experts who track extremists in the US.

The killers are David Anderson and Francine Graham. They are members of the Black Hebrew Israelites.

Yes.

The mayor stated a couple of days ago that the pair targeted that Kosher grocery, so I don't think the killers' antisemitism is being denied or ignored.
