Jesse Jackson Jr hires lawyer, possible plea deal, resignation: reports
CHICAGO — Amid reports that he may have misused campaign funds, Illinois congressman Jesse Jackson Jr has hired a lawyer to handle negotiations with the federal government on possible plea deal in which he would resign from the House of Representatives and spend time in prison, media said.
CBS 2 television reported on Saturday and Fox News Chicago on Monday, citing an unnamed source, that Jackson hired Dan Webb, a former U.S. attorney in Chicago who represents defendants in high-profile corruption cases to represent the 47-year-old lawmaker.
Both reports said Jackson, who was easily re-elected to Congress on November 6, may have to resign his seat and serve time in prison under terms of the deal being negotiated.
Webb and a spokesman for Jackson did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Reuters./quote]
Pants on fire, JJJ! (http://philly.xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20121004/POLITICS-US-USA-CAMPAIGN-JACKSON/)

I am sick and tired of this American electorate. Honor, talent and merit, they don't matter any more. Certain people will vote for any other sort of certain people, no matter what.
-
This stinks. If he resigns, does the Gov. appoint someone to replace him?
-
There IS a God. Let's see this sumbitch crawl, citing "B..b...but I was too SICK to keep track of my campaign funds!" as a defense and watch the jury crumble and fall for that complete line of :bs: .
But more to Karin's point, the electorate simply is more concerned about getting more free stuff from the government rather than pay attention to things like honor, ethics, and even ability.
JJJ has NOT represented his district since June. We're talking 5 months now.
At which point does the electorate figure out that the dood simply has to go? That he's too sick to do his job?
Answer - there is no point. As long as the dood has the name "Jackson" and is black, hey, there you go. Vote the guy in office, never mind whether or not he's been around.
I find it unbelievable that for a guy who hasn't been seen in public since June, he's been reelected. Who the hell did his campaigning for him? Daddy?
:bird:

No, Representatives must be elected by those they represent
-
I doubt anyone that district could nominate would be any worse than the person he's replacing.

Geez, Chris! Haven't you learned anything from this year's election? NEVER tell Dhimmi'Rats that they couldn't possibly be stupid enough to elect somebody WORSE than JJJ. They'll take it as a challenge, just to prove you wrong.

From the article:
A Rolex watch is also part of the case against the congressman. Our sources say that the federal agents want to know where Jackson got $42,000 to pay for the watch he purchased for the woman he was having an affair with.

Just like Daddy, just like Son. :whatever:

I can see the note from daddy now: "Jesse Jr. can't come to court today cause he's sick."
No shit--you can't screw 300 million people and not catch SOMETHING.

Illinois Rep. Jackson resigns from Congress (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/21/illinois-rep-jackson-resigns-from-congress/)
Buh bye.
-
Does JJJ have a little brother or sister?
Seems he/she would be the logical choice to fill that seat, since the electorate can't seem to determine when a representative is fulfilling his responsibilities to his constituency.
Friggin' idiots in that particular congressional district in Illinois. :whatever:

There is that bastard child that his dad had with another woman, but they're still too young.

His useless wife would be their choice.
