I brought this over from here:  http://conservativecave.com/index.php?topic=96210.0

For what its worth here is the code that shows up when using the insert image button.

<img><URL=http://s766.photobucket.com/user/barksjn/media/Schefflera_zps4b58ab08.jpg.html><IMG>http://i766.photobucket.com/albums/xx308/barksjn/Schefflera_zps4b58ab08.jpg</IMG></URL>

Replace this < or this > with the applicable bracket.

The process I was using was...

1. left click on the photobucket image link to copy.
2. Click the insert image button, which presented me with <img>(cursor)</img>
3. ctrl v presented me with the above code.

Resolution:

1. Edit post.
2.  Left click photobucket image option to copy.
3. Highlight the code produced by the img button and paste what was copied from photobucket.

Does this software support albums?

We could just upload off our computers to the album and post from there.

No, it doesn't. Besides, we really don't have the bandwidth to be hosting a lot of pictures.

I've always just copied the img code from photobucket and directly pasted it into the post without using the image button.

The right tags are already there from photobucket.

If it uses conservativecave's bandwidth--conservativecave, a message board that doesn't cost anyone a dime to join, that hasn't ever asked for donations--and if bandwidth is limited, why not prohibit such hosting?

Because most people are sensible & nice enough that we don't have to do that. Not too many people post attachments or a bunch of images that eat up our bandwidth.

Oh.

You mean I don't necessarily have to use photobucket all the time?

There is almost always an issue of bandwidth limiting from the company the server is plugged into.

In my case, it isn't really an issue. Limestone Networks (where this server is plugged in currently) provides me with 5TB per month.

I don't even come close to eating that.
