My brother does the Artic missions. He just said the other day that the scientists that he flies there all have stated the same thing -- man has absolutely nothing to do with the changes the earth goes through.
Common sense would kind of scream that at you everytime one goes to the ocean -- you think man can control or affect that incredible force of nature? Of course not.
The problem is, in refusing to acknowledge God, the primitives have made dirty little filthy pestilential gods of themselves, thinking they can alter the Way Things Are.
Yeah, right.
Anyone who has ever been eyewitness to a 15-minute thunderstorm in the Sandhills of Nebraska, during which time more electrical power is unleashed than millions of hydrogen bombs (fortunately, 99.999999.....% of it stays up in the air, though), has a pretty good notion of Nature versus Man.
Nature, or God, always wins, so one might as well accept it, adapt to it, and move on.
