Palin is going to get more world wide eyeballs on her than Obama could ever hope to have had.. I hope she brings her game, cause we need to see some pushing back from her right from the starting gate.

If she nails it tonight, their ticket will be unstoppable ..

heh

Can you imagine the swarm of handlers scurrying about him; dressing him, grooming him, telling him where to stand, how to look, to be supportive of Bristol but avoid anything that might be misconstrued as sexual, etc etc etc.

I bet if he'd seen this coming...

This is the McCain campaign pledge today...they're going on the offense. Michael Steele was just on Fox News about Palin's ss# being stolen/released.  They are also comparing the covers and articles on Palin and contrasting them with Obama's coverage...It's sickening to say the least. The left is out to destroy her, to destroy her credibility and they're publishing lies about her without any fact.

Tonight's speakers need to come out swinging, gloves off.

Sources: Romney, Huckabee slated for Wednesday

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) — Former governors Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are slated to speak at the Republican National Convention Wednesday evening according to sources. McCain's two former rivals will address attendees at 9:00 p.m., ET.

A convention official would only confirm that the 10:00 pm hour would feature former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.

Strange as it sounds coming out of my mouth (or should I say keyboard) The election now rests in the hands of an unknown (as of a week ago) Governor of a mostly neglected state giving her speech at the RNC before her nomination for VP.

I would have never EVER imagined that a potential VEEP could be so important to any party. The mind boggles.

Anyway, I expect she will kick ass, for 3 reasons ;

a ) She has gone from a happy place to a woman scorned with some of the lowest, nastiest crap I have ever seen in politics. The junk the Obamatons flung at Hillary seems like little league baseball in comparison. She IS going to react.

b ) The whole Caribou Barbie meme has lowered the bar. People think she is dumb. They will be floored.

c ) She young and dynamic - in many ways Obama's equal in terms of "Star Quality" - The PalinStar! if you will. Her magnetic quality can only help.

I also hope it's a skirt.  I hope she looks beautiful.  It will be a big smack in the face to the feminist nazi dyke movement.

I would love for her to come onstage with a big huge rifle and a moose head.  Then say "in Alaska we hunt moose.  This one talked about my family.  Any questions?"

The press parasites up in the galleries would shit themselves, and the Secret Service (who would have been alerted ahead of time, of course) wouldn't even bat an eyelid.

That would be fun to watch, no doubt about it.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I wasn't sure there for a while, and the official site didn't seem to display that information (unless I missed it).
