Suspicious packages in several US cities, just days before the election. It's Deja Bush all over again.

The narrative is there's an election around the corner and BushCo is putting out terror alerts to remind the citizens of the USA that Dems can't protect them.  I knew it had to discussed in that framework, so just to see I rowed over to the island.

Yep, first post I find at the top of GD is about the current threat with the planes and the packages and how it's right near an election.

I'll check for more, but this was too easy of a call.

You and I must have been wandering around Skins's island at about the same time, sir.

I saw that, too, but didn't put it in the boat to bring over, because I'm focusing on non-political primitive campfires today.

For those who have been watching the terrorist defense activities on teevee today . . . . .

. . . . what do you think of what you're seeing, hearing, and learning?

I have to admit to being a major cynic and am mostly rolling my eyes and watching our crack security folks with a degree of disdain or disgust at the Keystone Kops feel to it all.

I also find all the talking head "security experts" who are getting a chance to pontificate to be self absorbed geeks with nothing significant to say apart from using a lot buzzwords.

Had to know that the sparkling husband primitive would be on board the whacko express.

9. Could be the very opposite . . . . .

. . . . could be the Dems trumpeting this. Fact is, Obama's record on this sort of crap is way better than the repubs. Idiot Son was fer shit at keeping us safe. With Obama, there's been, essentially, nothing apart from that kook Army doctor.

And Dr. Tiller.

There have been more attempts under Obama in his short reign than under President Bush.

2. I was just thinking out loud
What's to keep Billionaires like the Koch brothers from hiring mercenaries to pull off terror stunts to keep voters in fear? They've tried to buy the government -- why not step up the heat through this sort of nonsense?

24. My thoughts too. I'm suspicious. n/t

Best to round them up just to be on the safe side.

But be sure you don't question any muslims because that would be insensitive.

22. Based on what information? nt

Based on the fact you mother is a whore and you're a crack baby.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

President Obama has kept US safe from terrorist attacks for 2 years.

It's true and we should use it in the mid-terms. Obama and Democrats are definitely on top of the terrorism issue.

Another one, on another thread.  None of the replies seemed to recall any news.  Yes, indeed, DUers, please use that in the midterms.  Because laughter is good for my soul.

Hey Stinky face. You seriously think that lord zero and his appointments are doing a better job?! REALLY?! If the DHS did it job "properly", the terrorists wouldn't even have gotten far into their plots to begin with. (Case in point, the Christmas Day bomber and the Times Square Bomber.) Those attacks were foiled at the point of attack. Guess who foiled those attacks? It definitely wasn't the DHS.

I know I am just a stupid teabagger but, it makes perfect sense that the terrorists would try to act out during an election.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
