However, you kind of owe the Neanderthals an apology, because they were undoubtably more erudite and civilized than the DUmp denizens.

When I typed the word undoubtably, it came up as being spelled incorrectly, and I racked my brains and could not figure out why it was so.  I consulted the web and the explanation does not change my spelling:

By the way, apropos of nothing except posting while under the influence of Bacchus, most specifically his grape, the Beatles were vastly overrated as a music group.  I first heard them in second grade when all the girls were squealing over them and I thought, in my 6-year old mind, these people suck.  I didn't have that kind of vocabulary, but yeah, they totally didn't do a thing for me, and still don't.  I'm a Rolling Stones fan girl from the get go.

Oh my, the fund-raising hasn't budged a bit, and I checked the long-term weather forecast for the Baltimore area, finding it's likely to be a cold, hard winter.

And with only $2,330--the goal's $8,000--the girls aren't likely to last it.

(By the way, I wasn't aware that Big Bertha's the "wife" in the match; I'd always just assumed she was the "husband," given that she's taller, much bigger, and more menacing-looking than the subject of this fund-raiser.)

In the interests of long-term survival, though, the girls really need to give up this charade, to stop this play-acting, to stop playing "house."  It's silly, them imagining themselves a "normal" "couple."  Big Bertha should probably pack it up, go back to California to move in with the folks, find a church, and advertise herself as available on the marriage market.....for a real spouse, in this case a real husband.

There's lots of fish in the sea, and I'm sure Big Bertha can find a man to make her happy.....and financially secure.
