benefits of unions to the American people. Walker the idiot is selling that you can be part of a union if you want to but if you don't want to you don't have too. The problem is that once a part of the union stops getting money from all workers, the union can't survive. We as progressives need to retake the message. If we don't I don't see how this stops. And we need to show why having a choice to belong to a union is wrong and mandatory membership and dues is important. We need to start yesterday.

What the fail to understand is that the market now drives benefits and perks not union. One does not need a union to guarantee good pay and benefits when the market is competing for workers. Also, much of what drove the rise of the unions are now laws (thanks to the unions) so they don't really do much in the way of worker protection.

What most people see is that there is no need for unions and enjoy being able to opt out. I quit receiving the daily paper when I could get more current news from the internet and cable/satellite at a much lower cost. Analogy applies to unions.

While the DUmmies are conditioned to think people are geniuses when they vote for a Democrat but those same people somehow lose their IQ when they remember what a disaster a "progressive" is to the country and what a ***** for a CinC does for the world, any Democrat is going to be hard pressed to win. I think the Republican will win so big, they won't be able to cheat at all. And I also think Americans want someone with common sense this time. Having a bunch of Ivy League "intellectuals" arrogant, holier-than-thou policies that have failed miserably hasn't worked out so well. We're a right center country and everyone (well except DUmmies) the country has swung way too far to the left. Don't even think someone like Bush can buy his way out of the primaries this time.
