Though the campaign is over, President-elect Barack Obama is still soliciting contributions to help fund his move into the Oval Office, Politico reports.
The Obama team has created the Obama-Biden Transition Project, a non-profit corporation set up under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Service code, to help supplement the $6.3 million he will receive in taxpayer funds.
Contributions of up to $5,000-per-person can be made to the non-profit, and a source close to the situation told Politico Obama will not accept contributions from lobbyists or corporations.

Why does he feel that he needs all of this money for a transition ?? Bush has already made preparations to make this transition as easy as possible.......
He hasn't even taken office and he's already getting into people's pockets.... the future does not bode well for Americans.

As someone pointed out eariler barack will not have an easy time living without a constent flow of cash. I guess that's what taxes are for...

Uber-wealthy liberals bought the campaign for him, they can frickin' buy the transition too.
