Title: How can the liberal platform survive?
Post by: Rebel on November 05, 2008, 07:38:44 PM
Think about it, you have environmentalists like ELF, union workers in the coal industry, union workers in the automobile industry, PETA, union workers in the meat processing industry, the gay movement, black Democrats who DON'T support homosexual marriage, ....I mean, seriously. How do they bring all these groups together when they stand in direct opposition to one another?

They will continue to do as they always have. They'll promise everyone everything, and then blame the Republicans for putting up road blocks. I still wonder how much union membership is in the Dems pocket.  I know the corrupt leaders are, but I'm not so sure about the members.

Why should this be any different from when Clinton was elected?

Remember how they literally danced in the streets (ironically now the Clintons are reviled by all "good" libs)?

It's the same as public education: when they get what they want they will claim it is never enough and when they don't get what they want because of internal conflicts they will blame it on racist/sexist/homophobe/water-polluting/xtian GOPers.

The union members have the same mentality that the welfare minded individual has, which is a "gimme everything for nothing" mentality. Many blacks feel owed since whitey has kept them oppressed all these years (they no longer have that excuse).

The gays hate Christians, because Christians do not condone gay marriage.

The Dems found the environmentalists to be a useful  tool to their cause because it gives them doomesday woes to control the  people, which then allows them to blame most of it on corporate America (which thereby punishes capitalism).

This gives you stealing, Christian hating, and  anti-capitalism/anti-corporate America...all very typical liberal tenets.

they're going to have no excuses for two years and they're NOT going to be able to accomplish what they promised.

the wheels WILL come off.

but the conservatives have to jettison the drunken sailors and start acting like conservatives.  Noot told them to do it this time but they just wouldn't.  it didn't really hurt as bad as it should have.  thank God for small favors.

but homo marriage continues to get shown the door and NOBODY likes the spending.  conservatism still rules.

Not sure if any of y'all noticed, but over at DU amongst the posts of DUmmies gloating are the posts of some VERY pissed off gay people.  What happened with Prop 8 is overshadowing any happiness some of them could be enjoying.

If gay marriage isn't accepted by the voters in Califruitopia, then their cause is lost in most states.

And with delicious irony: it was the black vote coming out for Obama that doomed it because blacks are very "homophobic".

When liberal worlds collide.

I think that both groups view each other as useful idiots. For a bunch of tolerant, all inclusive people, the Dems are all interested in their own needs first.

It is what makes them welfare junkies.

Who the **** cares about why or how the NeoCom platform survives?  The NeoCom platform will eventually die because IT DOESN'T WORK.  NONE of it's component planks work, and sure as hell the whole ****ing platform could be a thousand times or even a million times the sum of all those ****ed up parts, because multiplying by ZERO still gives you ZERO.

Our more important task is to build/repair the ****ing rotting thing WE are standing on.  If you want to make yourselves different from the NeoComs, they've thrown the Constitution under the bus, along with everything and everyone else that stood in the Obamination's way.  How about we do something novel in this day and age.  How about we build a platform centered upon the Friggin' Constitution!  Scream bloody hell every time your congress-shit proposes or supports legislation for which the Congress has no Constitutional Authority.  Make sure the Obamination's ****in' bathroom is well supplied with letters, notes and e-mails from you reminding him that he has no Constitutional authority to execute whatever cockamamied proposal he's pulled out of his ass this week.  Our mantra for the next two years needs to be taken directly from the 9th and 10th Amendments:  those shit heads in Washington need to be absolutely sick of hearing "that authority is reserved to the several states, or the people generally", by the close of 2010.

And *******it, right now is the time you start looking around your precinct, your towns, your legislative districts for the people who believe exactly the same way.  Because over the next year, you need to be building a short list, and nudging, urging, encouraging and generally being a pain in the ass to those people until their faith in the Constitution and the American people overcomes their fear of being drawn and quartered by the ****in' Obama Propaganda Ministry.  Primary season is where we start replacing RINOs, and primaries start a helluva lot earlier than the middle of ****ing March, 2010.

Ladies, our republican form of government was NEVER intended to be managed by absentee landlords.  You cannot be casually involved - as the TRUE sovereigns of this great nation - and expect it to survive as we've known it.  Nor will your children forgive you when they ask what was more important than ensuring that they are as free as you were, and you have no answer.
