I don't.  But if they think THEY can do the job any better.  Pack up our guys and let them get back to whatever they were doing.

We've got a real war going on that they need to be sharp for...not doing this world policeman bullsh*t.

How would we be "punishing" Haiti?  Haiti's own shortsightedness and systemic corruption has put it in the circumstances it's currently in.  That's not "punishment"; that's just the natural consequences of choices.

Exactly what I have been saying.  And IMHO, if anyone wants to complain about the timing and the quality of our humanitarian aid, they can just STFU.

No, no, no, the imperialism, and outright theft of monies by GB, Germany and, most of all, the USA are the ONLY reasons for Haiti's failure.

Get with the program.  :thatsright:

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Hundreds of haitian orphans are being shipped to Florida, courtesy of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.  I wouldn't be surprised of the number inflates to thousands.  I really have no problem saving these orphans, provided they are adopted by responsible american citizens.  But something tells me they will be eaten up by the Florida foster system and be on the taxpayer dime for a long time.  A similar program was done in the 60's or 70's with Cuban children.

Seeing how the crowds rush the Helos when they come into the LZ with food and water .. its just a matter of time before someone becomes "ground round" from the rotors.

Maybe its time to use the GPS guided chutes on pallets airdropped  into a DZ that we can secure.  The chutes are accurate to 30 meters.

I understand why they need help but why do we as a nation always have to give it. We have people in our own country that need it.

I find it absolutely hillarious - and not a little suspicious - that we have all this attention being focused on Haiti, when there have also been earthquakes in Venezuela, Argentina, and Solomon Island, all within the same timeframe of the Haiti quake, and none of which are garnering anywhere near the same degree of attention from the state-run propaganda ministry as the perpetual trainwreck that is Haiti has.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that sympathies were being artificially whipped up for a quasi-socialist dictatorship of African descended misanthropes at the expense of our latin American and Pacific Islander "brown brothers".

I think the loss of life in Haiti - estimated 200K - is a pretty clear factor in garnering the attention that that quake did.

Ain't quite the same situation elsewhere.

Where the hell are the 200,000 death tolls coming from?

Last I'd heard, the Hatian government was guess-timating that the death toll might creep as high as 1,000.

Just read on Drudge. Chavez is blaming the earthquakes on US weapons testing. It's scary to think someone this stupid runs a Country.
