A proposal: Boycott Republicans.
I don't mean just boycotting businesses who advertise on Faux, I don't mean just boycotting rightist owned businesses, I mean to suggest that we collectively boycott ALL Republicans on a personal level.

If there is a Republican in your life, refuse to conduct any economic transaction with them. In fact, if possible, do not speak to them at all. Let them know why you have broken off all contact, as your average Republican is too stupid to figure things out for him or herself.

If they want to let the crazies run their Party, that's fine. The Republicans are only about 30% of the population of this country, and the REAL crazies are even less than that. Let's see how they manage if the 40% or so of Democrats refuse to have anything to do with them. They can't run the country on their own, hell, even with the cooperation of the Democrats, they still couldn't run the country under Bush. If we collectively refuse to enable them, if we force them to realize that they need us more than we need them, they will either get their Party in order (which is doubtful) or they will cease to be relevant in the slightest.

So the DUmmy will boycott doing any business with a Republican. That means his only income
can be government checks, and his only business transactions can be soul food restaurants, drug
dealers, and Costco....You know, I thought it was crazy, but for a DUmmy it might be doable.

1. Cancel or down grade your cable or satellite service, so it doesn't contain faux news.
If you don't do any business with Republicans, you will never be able to pay a cable bill.

6. Oh, yeah, that's a real bright idea
Cut off family members, friends and neighbors out of spite. That simply guarantees that their
world view is completely dominated by conservatives. Stupidity. Rather than boycotting, simply
explain the facts to them, make this a teachable moment. As a family member you have more
influence than talk radio or Faux news.

11. Oy...
"Rather than boycotting, simply explain the facts to them, make this a teachable moment."

You can't make a "teachable moment" out of anything with a person who thinks that Obama is a
crypto-Muslim Socialist who was born in Kenya despite ample evidence to the contrary.

You can't have a rational conversation with someone who thinks that Obama's speech to school
children is an underhanded attempt at political indoctrination.

You can't have a cogent argument with anyone who takes anything that Glenn Beck says seriously.

"That simply guarantees that their world view is completely dominated by conservatives."

It already is, and will be whether or not there are sane people speaking the truth in their social circle.

"Stupidity."

You know what would really be stupid? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting
a different result.

Letting Republicans run roughshod over the truth and what is right AGAIN because people like
you are unwilling to make some sacrifices is pretty goddamend stupid if you ask me.

"As a family member you have more influence than talk radio or Faux news."

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Jesus Christ... If you think that you have more influence than the rightist media over your
Republican family members, then you are truly deluded. Go try to convince them that they
are being lied to and that Obama isn't what they've heard about on Faux. Then get back to me.

It's probably just me - after all, I am the asshole of the day - but the term "teachable moment" is
becoming as obnoxious to me as "under the bus", "v****e", and similar nonsense.

19. good idea
but the majority of the ones I know do NOT want rational discussion. They do NOT want to learn.
In the case of those types, I go with the OP. I no longer associate with them. I tried, I really did.

Somehow, I'm not surprised that DUmmy katanalori's family did not care to learn from her.

12. i already do, as much as i can...the electric company is westar, and they are
as a company, totally regressive. next year we can reconsider our internet provider, but they are
not bad, it think, for kansas. we don't go to walmart, make the trek to costco about every 6
weeks, and a coop. we buy organic almost completely, and cook from scratch. we buy flying j gas
when we can, as they have no defense contracts and there is NO good oil co. our electric bill is
about 30 a month, tmobile 2 phones 50, local lp gas about 45 in the winter (heating), and that's
about it. our clothes are second hand or homemade. i won't even buy at a craft fair if i think the
folks are republican on the coasts, less likely, but i recommend everyone check out their local
craft fairs for holiday shopping. saturday markets like portland especially.

If DUmmy create.peace isn't actually vestanumbers in disguise,....

.....then DUmmy Gman2 almost certainly is:

14. I tried a republican boycott, I urged women not to mate with republicans.
For many, it was too late, and they had mated, and had children with these cretans. But, the
problem is, they have attractive wallets. But, I told them that if they divorced them, and took
half, and found true love, with a dem, for the long run, that too is natural, as many females in
nature, have paramours.

15. You'll never get President Obama to sign off on it. He's always spoken of unifying this country,
he knows just how polarized it has become over the last thirty or forty years, and he wants to end that.

Boycotting people just because of a stated political belief is the opposite of what he's stated
he wants to accomplish.

Ask not what the jug-eared muslim can do for you......

This topic is wrapped up by a bouncy lie from DUmmy Greenpeach, possibly a troll:

16. I quit...  the place where I used to work out...couldn't stand the atmosphere. The memory of
an obese, oldster with a really bad, red dye job, marching in place, crowing, after Katrina, "Well,
the lord is showin' his anger...I'll bet they're repentin' now" forever burnt on my mind. Then, of
course later, the big McCain/Palin sticker on her car. She was typical of their clientele and they
were "proud to be a Christian organization" You can bet Republican too. I also quit my Repub dentist.

This bouncy lie is seared, seared, I tell you, into the DUmmy's mind.

I agree on the others, but  not "under the bus".  That phrase is most useful in describing 0Bama's failings. "0Bama didn't realize that Americans wouldn't like a radical like Van Jones, so he had to throw him under the bus. "

I am tired of "under the bus".  It isn't nearly descriptive enough and sounds far too cutesy.  I prefer "forsaking another fellow traveler in an attempt to save himself".

As for "teachable moment", that's just plain stupid.  It is a ridiculous cover phrase meaning "attempt to pull wool over unsuspecting eyes in order to promote a dishonest socialist/communist agenda".

Based on what, exactly?  My guess: President Bush's approval rating.

Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

I've got a better idea. All republican businesses should cut off moon bats and see who laughs.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
