Sounds good to me let us opt out of the scam known as social security. I am sure we would do much better with that money that is taken from us every payday.

This kind of "thinking" goes on a lot over there. ("conservative = anarchist" and the like) You can't really argue with an idiot w/o looking like an idiot yourself. Here is a sample of such an argument...

conservative: "I'm in favor of free market health care."

I got my first paying job at 16, so have had my money stolen by the government for 34 years.  I'll be glad to opt out of their so-thrilling services from today forward, but only after a refund.

Sure.  Take me out of the Social Security System.

Then I'll take the extra $$$ and put it in the Thrift Savings Program...and let USAA invest some of it for me and with that and my retirement from the Military I'll live better than the DUmmies that are naively thinking that Social Security will be there for them when they get old.

I'd like NOTHING better, so long as I don't have to pay for YOUR kids to go to public school, my gas taxes actually go for highways, and my local taxes pay for police and fire protection, like they were SUPPOSED TO!!!!
