Companies that pursue DEI will have a clear competitive advantage and will out compete companies who don't in the long run.

DEI has nothing to do with products, it has everything to do with having a diverse set of opinions running things to be able to recognize threats and opportunities better. More diverse companies outcompete more homogenous companies because of this.
OK, I'm speaking from what I've seen for over 4 1/2 decades in tech. The members of the teams that designed and produced every piece of tech hardware and software
Johnny2X2X used to post this idiocy were selected because of their abilities, not for their skin color, type of reproductive plumbing, how they use their reproductive plumbing, or what they think their reproductive plumbing ought to have been. The same is true of the companies that created and produced everything in
Johnny2X2X's home, from the appliances to the food to the house' plumbing and wiring.
OTOH, companies that choose people for their skin color, reproductive plumbing ... over people's abilities are "giving" talented people to their competitors, and that is likely to work out poorly.
