voting thread for the Top Ten DUmmies of 2014
« on: December 07, 2014, 08:32:34 PM »
Welcome to the official voting thread for the Top DUmmies of 2014!

The rules are simple:

Voting is done by secret ballot only; the purpose of this thread is simply an opportunity for members to “campaign” for their choices, to ask questions if one’s unsure about one primitive or another, to brag about how one voted, or for general comments about primitives.

One votes by sending a personal message to Mr. Wiggum here at conservativecave or on our sister site conservativeunderground, or via e-mail to ralphwiggumcave@outlook.com

One votes for ten primitives for Top Dummiedom; one should, really, vote for ten, and not a lesser number, given the closeness of races in the past.  Every vote counts.

The easiest way to do this is by recalling certain primitives, and checking to see if they’re on the list.

One’s top five choices should be ranked; one’s first choice is counted as 5 votes, one’s second choice as 4 votes, one’s third choice as 3 votes, one’s fourth choice as 2 votes, and one’s fifth choice as 1 vote.

And then for the other five, just list them, no ranking necessary.

Okay, here's the way one should list his choices for the top ten--and remember, this has to be done by e-mail or personal message to Mr. Wiggum.

Just posting one's votes on this thread, the votes don't get counted.

Anyway, as a demonstration, this is how I'm voting:

nadinbrzezinski (5 votes)
NYC_SKP (4 votes)
NJCher (3 votes)
mopinko (2 votes)
malaise (1 vote)

BainsBane
Omaha Steve
cali
Gothmog
MineralMan

As a further demonstration of how one should present one's votes for the special awards on one's ballot:

the Willie -- Redstone
the Steve -- nadinbrzezinski
the nadin --MrScorpio
the Skippy --NYC_SKP
the stewert -- stewert
the group award -- the women's-libbers

Ah, a virtual treasure trove of nincompoops, knuckleheads and ne'er-do-wells from which to choose our favorites from this past year. Will the late campaigners slow down their rabid scrawling of desperate pleas for our votes?
Will the pineapple head primitive finally rouse himself from his waking slumber to realize that we, like most of his fellow DUmmies, hate him with the white hot heat of a gazillion bursting suns?
Will the bouncies get better?
Will LFR return on a regular basis? After all, the harvest is complete and the farmer in Iowa that has been faking her has more time on his hands now.

Vote early. And vote often, if you think you can slip one past the goalie.

Stay tuned as another round of "Who's more stupid at the DUmp".

Yes, Amber is campaigning finally:

and I think Nadin is by proxy.

The group award is going to be the toughest for me, followed by the best beggar.

Thank you, franksolich and Mr. Wiggums, for this opportunity to award DUmmies for all of the entertainment they provide us. I have submitted my ballot to Mr. Wiggums per the CC Contractual Obligation (the CC-CO, Para 4, Section 3.124, Line 12). But, if it's alright with you guys, I'd like to post it here, also, so my fellow CC'ers can enjoy it.

Once again, I raise my (hypothetical) pen in the air for the purpose of 'up-twinkling' my choices for the Annual DOTY Awards.

For TOP DUMMY:

# 1 - cbayer, (the Threadslayer)

# 2 - TheMasterNemesis, (the masturbating mantis)

# 3 - mopinko, (the Shitcago City Farmer) Slaving away from dawn to dusk on the South Forty in the Near North Side.

# 4 - MrScorpio, (MrsCorpio) well, no actual reason for this vote other than because she has a misshapened head.

# 5 -  fizzgig, (the fizzy one) I just wanted to see if she'll cut off her hair again.

And the rest:

1strongblackman
KingCharlemane
LadyFreedomReturns
laserhaus
NYC_SKP

[an honorable mention to OmahaSteve, but sadly no vote due to his impending death. He's supposed to be gone by the end of the month.]

The WILLIE

BainDramaged He of Hidden Remote fame. Hasn't made a dozen posts or comments since that fareful day.

The STEVE

mopinko, for her braving the wilds of Wisconsin during the frigid autumn to stomp for demonRAT votes. Of which was a ginormous FAIL.

the 'Nadin"

MrScopio's big misshapened head. Don't care how you dispose of the rest.

The Skippy/Barry

TheMasterNemesis

I'd like to give a honorable mention to Atman. I believe he has a paranoia problem, I really do. But he seems to keep it bottled up inside his continual stream of harassing letters to the Admin of this fine board. I just wants to say, Rob, let it out. You'll feel better, And we will all get some laughs.

The "stewie"

So, did any of the DUmp Denizens with their hands out ever move away from their soon to be homeless state?
"Hands Out, Where's the Loot!"

ColesCountyDem - for not mentioning his little, um, problems with the, um. law.

And last, but not least, The Goupies

The Womynz Libberz

Gawd Almighty, what a howling bunch of Banshees. I miss them. Hope that an award such as this will boost them all back onto their wild stallion so they can gallop over the prairies, gunning down any male they come across.

You know, once Mr Mannn nominated TheMastersNemesis for the "Skippy," given the most-paranoid primitive, I realized my crusade to have Skippy himself win that award was probably a lost cause.

And thus Skippy'd join the Bostonian Drunkard and Atman, in failing to win the award named after himself the first year the award was given out.

I hadn't in a million years thought of TheMastersNemesis for that award despite that his paranoia is legendary, breath-taking in its scale.

Which of course proves the superiority of collective wisdom over individual bias.

The group award is going to be the toughest for me, followed by the best beggar.

I perhaps probably need to "explain" a couple of my choices for Top DUmmies, as they might seem to have unexpectedly come out of left field, many here not familiar with them.

Skippy was explained in the nominating thread:

Quote
Skippy's not my own choice for Top DUmmie, but he's my choice for #02 Top DUmmie of 2014.

Some might wonder, "Why Skippy?  He seems such a benign, cherubic middle-aged guy whose biggest fault is his penchant for really bad haberdashery.....and he always has an encouraging word for his fellow primitives in one strait or another."

I might remind--things are rarely as they seem to be.

As we all know, the primitives are generally windbags, keyboard warriors, loudmouths, lazing around waiting for "someone else" to do their work.

Skippy however is an exception; despite his brain problems earlier this year that seem to have diminished his cerebral strength somewhat, he's still got an awesome lot of grey matter to work with, inside his skull.

I assure others Skippy is the real thing; a real and present threat to our rights and liberties, to our very lives.  He's probably the most dangerous primitive around.

And there's Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor, the NJCher primitive, for third spot.

Many might have the impression I nominated and voted for her simply because of that picture of a horrid-looking bowl of stew she posted, but there's more to her than just that, which of course would be shown in her awardment, if she wins one.

Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor actually, truly, and sincerely believes that her droppings into the bowl of the commode don't stink.

Really, she does.

Reminder--only six more days to vote for the Top DUmmies of 2014.

The voting's been good, but we'd like it to be even better.

At the moment, there's a primitive dark horse sprinting into prominence.

My picks.

Excellent choices, sir; I salute you for your incisive perceptivity.

Me, I've pretty much given up on Skippy winning the "Bartholomew Scott" award, the "Skippy"--there was an unexpected candidate who popped up out of nowhere, who's proving immensely popular.

But I'm still hoping Skippy at least ends up in the Top Ten.

I'm also getting discouraged about the prospects for Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor, the NJCher primitive, who surely deserves to be in the Top Ten too, so I can eviscerate her with an award.

There's always of course the "franksolich" award, for a primitive whose greatness is undeniable, but who's been overlooked, but I already have a candidate for that in mind, because it doesn't look as if the wisdom of the people deems him awardworthy.

Some of the ones I nominated I voted for and others not,but did feel they were worthy of overall consideration plus perhaps some motivation to step up their efforts in 2015.
While not wishing to make the DOTY simply a participation trophy event I see no reason the "franksolich" award couldn`t be a tie if there is no perceptible means to rank one primitive above another.

Believe it or not, I had to look it up, to see who won that award last year.

It was someone eminently forgettable.

Last year was the first year this award had been given; it was at the time the "CCA award," since re-named the "franksolich award."

There was no egoism--no way--involved with changing the name; it was just that a bona fide primitive suggested to me that since I'm the sole determinant of that winner, "franksolich" would have more cachet than an obscure acronym.

Okay, now we've known and admired each other for about ten years, right?

We know we wouldn't steer either of us wrong, and so we trust each other, right?

Somewhere in your top five, the weighted votes, include NYC_SKP and NJCher.

You're not missing a thing.

.....but I wonder about "cbayer" and "cali" being the top pics here . . . is there something I'm missing? One is a pretentious airhead and the other one is some anti-social aging hippy?

Their greatest claims to fame is that one is a pretentious airhead and the other a sour bitter woman old before her time.

You nailed them.

And so it's a matter of "degree"--to what extent are their pretensions or anger remarkable?

Obviously, those who nominated and voted for them think the cbayer primitive's pretensions are so absurd, even for a primitive, as to be remarkable, and that dear cali's anger and rage is so intense, even for a primitive, as to be remarkable.

<<<voted for Omaha Steve one time simply because.....he was so stupid his stupidity outdid even the stupidity of the other primitives.

See, that was the weakness in my nomination of Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor.

Trust me, she's much more than that bad bowl of soup.

I write the awards, and I like to have new material in them.  But if I use material in justifying my nomination so as to increase a primitive's likelihood of winning, the material's no longer new and interesting.

And so when the primitive wins an award, oops, I got nothing new to say.

In this case, I decided to remain mum about other attributes of Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor, so I could write about them in her award, if she won anything.

I guess I'm relying upon others to simply trust me--and hence vote for her--that the NJCher primitive's much more than a simple bowl of sorry-looking stew, and surely worthy of Top DUmmiehood.

When casting my vote for the Barry it struck me how many times skippy had hysterically screamed to other primitives not to divulge information of their idiotic lives.
As if anyone cares, but that was the tipping point to remember who was, imo, the actually most paranoid of the disgusting lot.

Skippy was just being purposely stupid, and he knows it.

Like most other primitives, he supposes that just because he'd play dirty [with personal information], we'd play dirty too.

People are different.

There is no comparison between primitives, who don't observe boundaries [when it comes to divulging personal information], and decent and civilized people, who scrupulously observe boundaries.

It's because primitives have no impulse control, no moral restraints, holding them back, while decent and civilized people do.

For the primitives, if they have to play dirty to win, they'll play dirty.

For decent and civilized people, if one has play dirty to win, the win's not worth it.

There is no comparison between them and us.
