Congratulations to Taverner, #08 Top DUmmie of 2013!
Alas, despite that making eighth is quite an accomplishment for most primitives, it’s a comedown for Taverner, who at times in the past had come tantalizingly close to capturing the number one spot.
Last year, he tied the cousin for second topmost primitive; one more vote would’ve tied him with the eventual winner, and two more votes would’ve made him Top DUmmie then.
He was the second-place finisher in 2011, too, having risen from #14 Top DUmmie in 2010.
And even more melancholy yet, this is likely Taverner’s last appearance in the Top DUmmies--unless sometime in the future he wins the William Rivers Pitt award, the “Willieâ€--as he was banished from Skins’s island late in the year.
And given the mortality rate of promiscuous consumers of illicit drugs, sooner or later--but probably sooner--he’s going to be banished from this time and place too, either through an overdose, intentional or unintentional, or bloody violence, reasonably associated with the procurement of illegal pharmaceuticals.

Taverner appears to be about 40 years old, and has a head the shape of an eggplant, as if the opening through which he had to come at birth was too small, squeezing his soft infantile skull. He lives in or near Oakland, California, and is married with a wife and children. Sometimes employed, sometimes not.

It was with much surprise, shock, and sadness that decent and civilized people awoke the morning of November 15, 2013, and learned of the passing of one of their favorite primitives.
