2013: the group award (the bullies)
« on: December 21, 2013, 08:45:19 PM »
Congratulations to the bullies, winner of the 2013 group award!

The bullies had a lot of strong competition on the ballot, including the anti-gun nuts, the cooking and baking primitives, the exiles to OldElmTree, the gay mafia, the moles, the 0bamacare lemmings, and the wish-for-a-dupe beggars, and so the vote was considerably fragmented, the bullies winning out over the second-place anti-gun nuts by a mere two votes.

This is the first year of the group award, although the B0G (Barack 0bama Group) were the #06 Top DUmmie of 2010, and the bullies were the #14 Top DUmmie of 2012, the only times a group, rather than an individual primitive, has won an honor.

The bullies, as an informal group, are those primitives on cousin nadin’s famous “iggy list.”

30. Amen, She posts these to "inform" us "ignorant" folks every time any event

happens which remotely justifies such a post. Never mind that others here at DU are M.D.s and nurses and have worked in the medical field for years. Or that the rest of the DU community understands the situation perfectly well. OP is convinced that there is a very high level of ignorance that she needs to address, again and again, with a strange sort of enthusiam, reminding us that many must die! (all caps, etc.)

Okay, I'm six days ahead of myself, in awardment of the honors.

I'd started early because the weather out here in the Sandhills is wretched, and whenever the weather's bad, I have to help the neighbor.  I was worried that if I started on time (Christmas Eve), I'd fall behind because of events in real life, and not conclude on time (New Year's Eve).

I'm going to take a couple of days off before posting the top ten DUmmies and the CCA in ascending order, the remaining eleven awards, because I think six days is enough of a cushion that if I'm caught up in something and nearly frozen to death, I can finish exactly on time.

I was decidedly partial to the moles, real and imagined, because I thought they had a greater impact upon the behavior and inhibitions of the primitives, but obviously I didn't make a strong enough argument.

And as already noted, the anti-gun nuts almost came in first, having missed by two votes.

I find myself being contrary. While the bullies were indeed very entertaining, they are nothing without nadin. It's like Abbott without Costello. Sunny without Cher. Nadin is the sun around which the bully solar system revolves. Nadin is the gravitational mass that holds the bullies together. I'm not so sure that the bullies could stand on their own without nadin.

With that said, I accept the will of the voters, and I do think that frank picked the best possible exchange to showcase their prowess.

“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

Aha!!!! My 73 votes were finally counted.
Thanks, Diebold.

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

While I voted for the anti-gun nuts, simply because they had a particularly strong year, I am perfectly fine with the bullies winning the top honors. The bullies have been consistenly strong for several years in a row now. To me, the best of the bullies are SidDithers and zappaman.  They show real wit, which is rare among DUmmies.

It never occurred to me during the nomination process, but the nadin sycophants are a worthy group.

They're a much smaller gang than the bullies, but are pretty entertaining in their own right, thanking the nutcase for her wisdom and attacking the bullies.

I'd normally suspect that the ass-kissers are nadin sockpuppets, but she's so stupid it would be impossible for her to hide behind an alternate identity.

She'd be easier to spot than a TomInTib sock.

I'll tell you why through a little parable...
A little mexican boy ate some habanero peppers
His mouth started burning so bad he got an ice cream cone and ate it
About an hour later you hear a scream from the bathroom
"Come on ice cream" !!
