2013: the Nadin Abbott award (nadinbrzezinski)
« on: December 21, 2013, 04:12:35 PM »
It is with most humble worshipful awe and reverence that one congratulates nadinbrzezinski, winner of the Nadin Abbott award, the “nadin,” for the primitive who impressed the most with her God-like wisdom and understanding this past year…..and intolerance towards those primitives who dared challenge her deity, her all-knowingness, her perfectness.

This is the first year for the award, and the first winner could’ve only been cousin nadin.

But surprisingly, she had competition, including :jugs:  :yahoo:, walrus-face, the ProSense primitive, the freeloading stewert primitive, and the magisterial one.  Considering these, one’s mystified that the big guy from Omaha wasn’t also on the ballot for this particular honor, given his own “worship me, and give me things, because I am me, having given the gift of my person to you.”

Nevertheless this competition, this race was over before it even got started.

- - - - - - - - - - -

As in the case with the winner of the “Rob,” since cousin nadin is obviously destined for an award greater than this, one is reluctant to use the good stuff on this lesser award; and suffice it to say that anyone who reads journo Vlada Mitty is already familiar with her style; “I know all there is to know, so don’t dare doubt me.”

The Divine Wrath is swift and sure; relegation to Hell, the ignoble “iggy list.”

- - - - - - - - - - -

One wonders about the psychological genesis of this “I am God” mind-set.  Nearly every human wishes he or she were God, all-perfect, all-knowing, all-encompassing, but understands at the same time this isn’t the case.  When decent and civilized people come to this realization, they accept, adapt, and move on.  When primitives come to this realization, while they don’t like it, they at least grudgingly accept it.

And surely cousin nadin, when looking at herself in a mirror or trying to buy oblate-spheroid-shaped clothing or reading the expressions on the faces of others as they see her, can see she more resembles Medusa than Aphrodite.

- - - - - - - - - - -

Maybe I should start playing fantasy football, I didn't vote for nadin for the nadin but my other picks are doing pretty good at this point.

So far my DUmmies have captured the Steve and the Rob and 4 of the bottom 10 top DUmmies.

I should have put money on this thing.   :thatsright:

Next up is the group award--some time I hope within the next 24 hours--and then I'll take a short break before beginning the countdown of the Top Ten DUmmies, and the CCA.

I started earlier than usual, and want to pace this so as to conclude on New Year's Eve, not sooner.

I don't see why not, I could let a 10 spot float on this.

I'm not sure exactly how it would work but we got a year to work it out and I'm sure it would sharpen the focus.

I think this contest should be called the Kerfuncles going forward. Kind of gives it the same clout as the Oscars or the Tony Awards.

Damn yer eyes, Diebold. Damn you!
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

This is the final connected dot, suffice it to say, Nada has passed the Rubicon.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

We have crossed the rubicon... folks

I was hoping that they'd tone it down... realizing that yes... they too could be in the gun sights.

Instead we have seen an escalation to the point that no, I don't think it can be dialed down. We are at that point some of us have predicted. Things will now slowly escalate... but they will.

Hope to whoever that I am wrong... but this morning was not a small thing, nor an idiot putting foot in mouth... but a hell of an escalation.

That is all.

Politics is about to take a very nasty turn..

Thus far, Atman's the only primitive who's never won the award named for him.

If I were the twin, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed.

I love how nadin says "That is all", but then says more.
She even has to get the last word on herself.

That original rubicon quote up there.  I can't remember what she was all in a tizzy for.  Anybody remember the event?

Aside from the Nadin, and I voted for her, my candidates are doing horribly.  Glad I didn't have money on this.

It's probably fair to say that everybody got the top primiives all wrong (including myself, of course).

Surprises to come as soon as I get motivated on the Top Ten (probably #10 and #09 will appear Tuesday evening).....and I'm sure that by Sunday or Monday of next week, there's going to be members after my scalp, even though I was only one voter among many.
