Goodbye to DU
After almost three decades of voting for Democrats, I will be voting for someone other than a Democrat in the next election. It is primarily the increasing rudeness, anger, narrow mindedness and endless drumbeat of foul language in this discussion group that has persuaded me that the Democratic Party has become something that I do not want to be part of.
Do not bother to respond by calling me all of the foul names and telling me how evil I am, as is the practice of this group. I will not be here to read it, as I am not returning. I know you will welcome my absence as much as I enjoy the peace of mind of no longer being here.
Not sure why you enjoy losing votes, but that's your business.

I just thought it funny out of all the reasons listed the only one objected to was the foul language. I guess they realize all the others were/are, true.

There may be some "conservative" discussion sites that get pretty foul, but the worst I've been on are nowhere near what I've seen from DU. I haven't been on FR in this century, so maybe they're in the same league as DU? Dunno.
