I have reached the point in life where people I used to party with are getting buried.

Seriously, I am now in my 60s. Several of my high school and college friends have died recently. Bummer.

Yeah, like, bummer.  Dude.

1. yeah, I went to 30th and 40th

high school reunion. about 5% gone. Add some real life acquaintances from peer group.. sad. But what I miss most are my three 85-90 year old neighbors who passed last decade.

Leme most likely misses skimming their Social Security checks.

5. Same here.

The last time mr. froggy and I went out on the town - that is, to dance and have a few drinks - we had to hire a sitter for the kids. Now the kids are grandparents.

8. Yes, that's a bummer.

One of my best friends in h.s. died at the end of our freshman year of college,, several others have passed since then, of course, one is seriously ill with pancreatic cancer. I'm in my late 60s

Bunch of brain dead and useless vermin that have spent the last 40 plus years accomplishing nothing at light speed.

Good job, hippies!  Now, die faster.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

And will not be missed or remembered by society.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
