Title: Ostriches: Head in the sand, ass in the air. RE Hunter Biden
Post by: Karin on December 07, 2019, 09:49:23 PM
There are a couple or more threads about the Hunter Biden situation over on the Primaries cesspool.  Just wanted to row one over for the record.

'People have real questions about this': Hunter-Ukraine questions cloud Biden tour

[link:https://www.politico.com/news/2019/12/06/joe-hunter-biden-ukraine-2020-tour-077460|

The former veep still hasn’t found a clear and cogent message when it comes to his son’s overseas business dealings.

ELKADER, Iowa — Joe Biden has two methods of responding to questions about his son’s controversial business dealings in Ukraine: denial and anger.

But so far, Biden doesn’t have a clear and cogent message — and Iowa voters are starting to take notice, especially after his fiery encounter Thursday with a retired farmer who advanced the unfounded claim that the former vice president played a role in landing his son a job at a Ukrainian gas company.

Biden was forced Friday to address the confrontation, in which he had called the voter a “damn liar,” and even challenged him to a physical fitness contest after the 83-year-old man said the 77-year-old Biden was “too damn old” to be president.

“I probably shouldn’t have challenged him to pushups,” Biden told reporters when asked about the run-in.

8. While nobody has "real questions" about this Biden-Ukraine nonsense...

he goes on to say about this "nonsense"...

..I don't think Biden, without a script, on a debate stage with Trump would go particularly well for us. In fact, it could prove disastrous.

And lots of use of the word "debunked."  Have you noticed this?  Everyone else has.  They all got their marching orders to use the word "debunked" as much as possible, until they all sound like mindless robots.  All the drive-bys use "debunked" and everyone is getting sick of it and saying so in the comments sections.

Here's another thread about the same thing:

I'm worried about this Hunter Biden thing.
I don't think Joe Biden did anything wrong, but I am worried that Giuliani is going to get these former Ukrainian officials to make things up. He is getting money from somewhere, possibly the Russians. Is he using that to bribe them? The Republicans are ruthless, they don't care if it's true or not, as long as it can be believed. Maybe the best thing that could happen is that Rudy gets indicted soon and gets thrown in jail.

With Hunter Biden working for Burisma, you have the appearance of a conflict of interest which they a can build on, and that makes if more believable than something that is completely made up.

And all that followed was LOTS of "your concern is duly noted."  and "how long have you been on DU?"

The only other thing on the thread was that someone posted a funny (about how long someone had been on DU):

18. Well I'll tell you

...the download speeds were so slow that Mom would send us a private message right here on DU that dinner was ready then she'd go bottle feed the calf... feed it out for 14 months, castrate it, butcher and hang the meat up, then cook the roast over an open fire pit and it would be done and on the table just as we were getting the message... true story!

They have no good answers for that particular sequence of events. Even ‘debunked’ doesn’t work in the real world because Biden being Biden bragged about what he did and, well sonofabitch,  it’s on video.

It’s killing them.

They have that video.

But they don't have a video of Biden answering any questions about the video.  They also can't debunk Biden's flippancy on the video...  " Well, son of a bitch... "  etc.  DU wants to sympathize with Biden's attitude then, because it's how they fantasize he'd address Trump.

As I just posted at CU, Raw Story, DailyKos, HuffPo and the Palmer Report have debunked it.  Gospel to DUmmies.

Son of a VP gets a seat on the board of a company in a field he has no experience in...located in a foreign country...with a language he cannot speak...and got paid 80K a month for it.

Nothing to see there, move along.
