Well, usually I'm doing two, sometimes three, different things at once, when at the computer.

The posting style was friendly, casual, breezy, informal, amiable, and the first person who came to mind was lurksalot.

Not that you're not yourself--of course not!--but lurksalot just flitted into the mind sooner.

The visit was amicable..is that how its spelled? I didn't hurt him anyway. I stayed out of the picture as much as possible so that he and Lilly could visit without me interfering so I tried to be unobtrusive, I worked two of the days and all went well. I have to cook for the little one and myself anyway, so we did family dining so he didn't starve. I gave him a blanket for the couch so he wouldn't freeze. I let him ride with us for Saturday morning grocery shopping. Really didnt spend much time together at all, although I did catch myself referring to him as "honey" a couple times out of old habit

I've never been sure of the difference between "amiable" and "amicable," although I sort of think the first one pertains more as a quality in a person, than the second one.

I agree, that is the way I have seen those two words used. Freeper was amiable and the visit was amicable.
