Concepts like "fossil fuels" and "nuclear fission" terrify them so they retreat to the simplistic safety of "green" energy.

Pretty sun. Gentle wind.

Safe.

Well, apparently "nitrogen" is also scary.

Be-mildewed is scared:

Organic farming, carefully done, can be efficient

Organic agriculture generally comes at a cost of smaller harvests compared with conventional agriculture, but that gap can be narrowed with careful selection of crop type, growing conditions and management techniques, according a new study.

Organic farming has been touted by supporters as a more environmentally sustainable method of farming that's better for consumers because crops contain fewer man-made chemicals. But without the high-nitrogen fertilizers and pesticides often employed in conventional agriculture, it's also less efficient...

High-nitrogen?

 :panic:

Oh wait...

The Earth's Atmosphere: It's high in Nitrogen
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Limit your nitrogen exposure by breathing less.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

There are chefs that use LN2 to cook with. I think they call it gastric cooking or some such.

If folks stuck on the 'Organic" fad only ate truly 'Organic" raised and fed livestock and crops they would starve. The label "Organic "is slapped on  lot of non organic foods just simply to justify an inflated price.

Don't get me wrong it's a nobel gesture but they are being misled big time as to what is and isn't organic.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

If I could only be noble enough to compete for a Nobel. It it includes organic, I would probably be knocked out of the race.

Uh, I'd like for them to let me know who will feed the world's population if we go "organic". You do away with nitrogen fertilizer, like 21-0-0 and the wheat yield will drop so low you will starve half of Africa, ya ****in' morons!

What a great ****in' idea!

Organic is great for your home garden, or perhaps those hippy dippy flea markets, but it will never feed the world's poorest populations!

I guess you morons want to kill minorities, because that's who benefits most by modern farming methods. How much "organic" groceries do you think you can purchase with your food stamps, idiot?
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

You realize, of course, they also have a thread started today about how the world's population needs to be shaved by 5 and a half billion people.

Well, if you don't use a bullet or gas and you just let them starve to death, that would be "organic" population control....right? ...right?

I think the democrat "organic" craze is just great.

Really, it doesn't have a down side.

Farmers can take their misshapen, undersized, bug-eaten produce, which would otherwise be dumped, and put it into the "organic" category.

Not only can they sell their culled produce, but they get an 80%-100% premium for it.

And normal people get the added satisfaction of seeing DUmp democrats paying double price for inferior merchandise.

Of course it's stupid to buy "organic", but remember these are the people who debate LIHOP vs. MIHOP.

I didn't think I was pointing out a mistake, I thought you spelled it out that way in honor of owebuma, but please pardon me for mine.

But alas while fairly inert, nitorgen is not quite a noble gas. :rotf:

Just for you dummies:

or·gan·ic adjective
1. noting or pertaining to a class of chemical compounds that formerly comprised only those existing in or derived from plants or animals, but that now includes all other compounds of carbon.
2. characteristic of, pertaining to, or derived from living organisms: organic remains found in rocks.
3. of or pertaining to an organ  or the organs  of an animal, plant, or fungus.
4. of, pertaining to, or affecting living tissue: organic pathology.

And you want to tell me you be the bestest, smartest folks in the world? Hell I learned what organic meant in grade school down here in West by God Virginia.

Morons.

They are scared by some small words too, like work and job.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
