This has seriously changed my whole perception of Iran.  Thank you for all of your knowledge and insight - I hope more Americans realize Iranians as a people are largely different from their people.

i also feel like the youth are not into all the bullshit that makes up the government and if we give them a couple generations, and a newer revolution, they (govt) might come around and not be the biggest evil in the world

Hey friends, just back for a little second! I wanted to respond to some of the comment schemes on the below news article.

Here are some patterns I saw:

-Iranians are Muslim thus bad.
Iranians are not defined by religion, most Iranians are non-religious and religion is not what comes first for an Iranian.

-Muslims celebrated 9/11.
No, Palestinians (Arabs) did, Muslims are not a unified group, an Indonesian does not go around doing the same things a Saudi does. Here's what Iranians did:

-They kill us/hurt us thus who cares.
Would it be okay for me as an Iranian to hate you for overthrowing my nations democracy in 1953:

How about for funding Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war which killed nearly a million Iranians. You did not commit any of these acts, individuals did. Blaming an entire people for actions like "funding terrorism in Iraq" is ridiculous.

If it was Jews hanging at the hands of Muslims it would be racist, if it was Blacks hanging at the hands of KKK it would be racist. Why double standard?

Last year the muslims killed 117,000 Christians in the middle east, did anyone hear an apology, did the news group write an article about it. Last month a woman wearing a cross was shot and killed on a street in Iran, did anyone hear an apology, did the news folks get involved. After the muslin terrorist flew planes into the two towers did you hear an apology from anyone in the middle east.

Can anyone imagine the uproar if a Black or Hispanic person was pictured, instead of an Iranian? All hell would break loose. This restaurant owner should have enough sense and consideration to take the thing down, since it upsets others. What a knuckle head.

Oh no! You have forgot! Iranian are evil terrorists! Despite the fact that almost all terrorism in the world is committed by Arabs. Name an Iranian suicide bomber for me, and no, not a Kurd or a Baluchi separatist.

Btw, no need to quibble over semantics. Iranians, hamas, al queda, iraqis, etc etc makes no difference. All interchangable. Muslim religion, muslim beliefs. The world does not revolve around "them". Remember when 'they" called for the execution/murder of a English teacher for naming a teddy bear "mohammad", or the beheading of our servicemembers on video? I couldn't care less what they want or how they feel. The whole area should be turned to glass. They're nothing but filthy savages that have no place in a civilized society.
