Thats cool. You are allowed to be pissed, but because you're pissed does that give you the right to change another person's behavior?

Let's look at this with a cool head.

1.Your sister had a shirt on that you didn't approve of.
2.You told her to change it. Not because it affected your life in any way, just because....
3.She stood her ground and said no. (which is an admirable trait)
4.You told your mommy
5.Your mom told her to change it
6.She still stood here ground and didn't change it (again, sticking by what you believe in is a good trait.)
7.You cave in to your beliefs and go to the salon anyway (cowardice)
8.No one at the salon cares, yet you are embarrassed by something you didn't do (low self-esteem)
9.Instead of sticking up for your original beliefs, you caved and then came to a computer to complain (very brave of you)
The bottom line is, if you believe in something, then stick with it. Dont wait for a law to be passed or someone else to do it for you. For goodness sake, stand up for yourself.

Newsflash, genius.

It was EC's wedding day, not the sister.  IOW, like most liberals, it doesn't matter how degrading, demeaning, or deplorable their actions, they think it's ALL. ABOUT. THEM.  Just like the carpet munchers.  They don't like being called Lickalottapuss?  Quit shoving it in people's faces.  Don't like it when they're shunned?  Dress appropriate for the venue or occasion.  See?  Wasn't that simple?

Personally, EC was more than gracious to even let the sister attend the wedding or reception at all.  Were that a relative of mine, they'd have been kicked to the curb, family or no.  Had they tried to show up, they would have been arrested.  PERIOD.

With freedom comes responsibility.  Some folks can't seem to handle either one very well.

There is a thing called common decency and it used to be the norm rather than the exception in our society.  What you seem to be doing is making excuses for crass and boorish behavior.  Neither should be tolerated in a polite and respectful society.

absolute steel on target. We have an obligation to speak up when objectionable behavior insults us, particularly when those demonstrating that behavior are associated with us.

I may not be able to do anything about some snot-nosed punk kid with 14 bolts through his eyebrows, 27 rings in his nose, and 48 earrings circling what used to be an organ intended to hear with, but I sure as hell can express my outrage at his **** Off and Die t-shirt.

When the punk kid has done what I've done, seen what I've seen, and been where I've been, he might have an option -- but chances are, he's just a shithead looking for a place to take a dump.

...and how Fuddruckers evolves into Butt****ers.

I'm sorry, I hope anyone offended by that language has their censor filter on. :lmao:

:rotf:

The first time I saw that movie was on Comedy Central.  It was blurred out, I turn to my husband and said, "did that really say Butt****ers?"  He said, "yes, yes it did."

My mom said something to the effect of, "oh it's fine."

No it was "not" fine. Her mother did not tell her to change it. Rather than sticking up for EC, which she should have, she took the easier avenue, she didn't want to be put in the middle of what may of been a major fight, on her daughter's special day. That smacks of cowardice IMO

I agree that the shirt is tasteless, but come on. We live in America. We have freedom of speech. That's like saying you can't wear a Cardinals jersey in Cincinnati or a Yankee jersey in Boston, or a Jesus Didn't Tap shirt anywhere. It's only offensive if you let it be.

The Sykes reference is hilarious though. It is hypocritical.

You can check "freedom of speech" at the door when you step onto private property.  You can say whatever you like on the street outside of my house, but step into my home and say something I find offensive and you'll be escorted to the door.

Dollywood is private property.

As are other private venues such as Disneyland/DWR.  They're as gay-friendly as it gets, but wear an offensive or even mildly distasteful shirt and you'll be asked to reverse it.  Refuse and you'll be shown the door.

I have heard about the Gay days at Disneyland, at first I did not believe it.------What the **** is a Gay Day  in a children's park ?????

How is this different from everyday family Park. At first I though this was a joke, when did the park have a Pr ego Day or a Slut Hot and Horny day  ?????

These people are in it for the money they can get, they give a shit about the kids,  this is all for the money the adults bring in.

Kids do not have the huge amount of of money to pay for the entrance to these parks,   this is a way for adults to make up for ignoring their kids all year.

Unbiased:  that attitude is what will lead us to living in az world exactly like the one in the movie Idiocity.  When decent people stop caring about indecent behaviour civilized society is over.

The sad fact is that this world is becoming like Idiocracy. BTW, Idiocracy was a great movie.

WTF

You're in Vegas, hon, drink heavily. :rotf:

BTW, a super belated happy birthday.
