I hope the boy was not on board, but hiding in fear of being disciplined.

They are saying the 'basket' was not on the bottom of the balloon when it landed. .....  This is sounding bad.

Just heard that.....but they said that it was up in the air about 10 minutes or so before they got cameras on it..... :(

Oh jeez.  I wish we had a pic of what it looked like before it went up into the air.  That way we would have a comparison.

You know whats odd?  Those cameras were zoomed in really close to that balloon and you KNOW the mom and dad had to be watching it .... how come they never told the authorities to call off the chase because the bottom wasn't on the balloon??

Something isn't right.

And there is this too...

Quote
"At this point, we are thinking that he did not fall out of the balloon and is somewhere on the ground," Larimer County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Eloise Campanella said. "The basket itself was not breached. It does not look like he fell out of it, but again, this is all conjecture."

Wow, scary stuff.

I'm watching this on TV and I'm not seeing any K9 dogs.  I wonder why.

What does that say about either; The reporters who said the sheriffs cleared the home OR the sheriffs who said they cleared the home?!  I mean .... yeah, a 6 year old could hide well but if you are looking for a 6 year old what would you look at or into?

If the sheriffs cleared the home they have some 'splainin to do.

What a crazy freaking mess!  I heard a recommendation that the boy hand write thank you cards to all the people who were trying to save them.  I think that is a good idea.

I just read on FR that there is a video of Wolf Blitzer interviewing the famly and the kid said it was all for show. I can't view the video on my phone so I haven't watched it. I saw this family on Wife Swap and came away thinking these parents were friggen nuts. I think the dad has a bad case of ADHD and a terrible temper. When I first found out it was this family I immediatly felt it was a hoax, even before they found out the kid was not in the balloon.  The dad is a total ass.

OK, call me shallow, but in the clips I saw of the interviews this morning, all I wanted to do was smack the kids and tell them to sit still!  Good grief...drove me nuts!

Yet, we're supposed to believe these same kids sat still of their own volition for 4 hrs.

They were interviewed on The Today Show this morning.

The father explained the kid's remark.

Apparently, about 30 reporters persuaded the kid to re-enact how he climbed up into the garage and hid, while someone filmed him doing it "for a show".

One of the older brothers was with the kid and the reporters, and the father walked in on it happening.

He didn't seem too happy about the reporters asking the kid to " climb up in the garage trusses" .....probably wasn't a real safe thing to do.

According to the father...that was the "show" the kid was referring to.
